NOTE: I wrote this before the 2020 BLM protests and my learning more about policing. I would have written it differently after, but I won't be changing it. Just keep in mind that the depiction here is of another world and another species from a different perspective.

In the City of Dreams, the City That Never Sleeps, a wistful heart walks the lonely streets, searching for answers to questions no one else is willing to ask. A reluctant pilgrim arrives from a long journey, weary but determined to make his mark. An old warhorse, his soul cracked and bleeding, saddles up for his last battle.

A noir tale set in Manehattan, fifteen years after the events of Through the Well of Pirene. Three people over the course of three nights weave and unravel a tale of anxiety, pain, and hope under the lights of the greatest city in Equestria, and the watchful gaze of a green star.

Coco Pommel never thought she'd be sucked into a mirror and placed into a universe where everything is seemingly perfect. If it was heaven, it wouldn't be vaguely familiar and too flawless to the point where the man who leads her in the wonderland is mysterious as the location--and just as unusually familiar. As she uncovers the small and large secrets of the Domain Somniorum, she uncovers prices of herself that she thought she had lost a very long time ago.

A man on earth meets Princess Luna. He ignores Luna's attempts at companionship, and by consequence gets teleport to equestria. things kind of go downhill from there.

He dies, also.

Bolstered by the dark magic of Twilight's new castle, Tree Hugger becomes an evil alicorn, and after realizing she's not just having a bad trip, tries to take over Equestria. Obviously, shenanigans ensue.

Slate is your average earth pony. He works hard at his town's quarry, then goes home, and goes to sleep. Ever since he started writing in a journal everything has gone wrong for him: he's having weird dreams, no one remembers who he is, and he gets fired from his job. The weirdest thing is everybody remembers someone named "Granite" and as far as they're concerned that's who Slate is supposed to be. Slate's quest for answers will take him down some frustrating roads as he tries to fix his problem.

And so begins the next chapter. Scootaloo has finally ripped herself away from the Rainbow Factory. But the world she finds herself in is filled with a darkness deeper than she ever could have dreamed of. Now a new destiny awaits her far from the horrors of the Factory, far from the life she knew, and lies in wait in the darkness below.

Roseluck finds herself leaving the house she loves.

Rose is lost.
She is the mare who waited.
But now she's found quite the unusual friendship with a certain alligator.

While cleaning the farm house's attic one day, Applejack comes across an old trunk full of maps, pieces of armor, even a sword. According to Granny Smith the trunk belonged to her ancestor, Apple Slice. She digs through the contents, eager to learn more about her ancestor and near the bottom she spots a worn leather bound book. It's pages tell the tale of a fantastic quest to reclaim a homeland, filled with monsters of all shapes, and perils of all sizes. A most unexpected journey indeed.

This is the story of how long ago, one unassuming normal in every way farm-mare came to shape the history of all Equestria. How two races divided by war and fear were united by a forbidden love, and the struggle of a Unicorn to unite Equestria against the coming night.

An adaptation of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit set into the world of My Little Pony, based on the movies directed by Peter Jackson, with changes made to do justice to the mlp mythos and canon. The races of middle earth translate as follows.

Hobbits and Men will be earth ponies and pegasi
Wizards shall be Unicorns
Elves will be Deer
Dwarves will be Diamond Dogs
Orcs will be Centaurs, and Goblins Gargoyles.
Dragons of course, will be Dragons.

Twilight Sparkle understands that change is essential for life just as well as anypony.

But is it always for the best?
