Sweetie Belle, alone and dejected, comes across The Great and Powerful Trixie, who was ostracized for her prior misdeeds involving the Ursa Minor. Trixie becomes Sweetie Belle's tutor, giving Sweetie (and perhaps herself as well) both the guidance and companionship she needs.

This is a S1 fic. Events take place before 'The Return of Harmony, pt 1'.
Writing for this fic began before Season 2, so events do not match canon storylines.

Twilight Sparkle has a lot of difficulty getting a good night's sleep. She has to keep it a secret from the ponies who care about her, because they might disown her. Worse, they might try to help...

WARNING: The first five or so chapters are, on reflection, properly grimdark. If this makes you run away like a puppy that just laid a brown egg on the new carpet, that's your prerogative entirely. Instead of being killed in the cold Antarctic by Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach finds himself rematerialized in a strange new, pony filled world. He finds himself drawn into the lives of the ponies of Ponyville but some ponies fear that this sociopath will bring danger and darkness to an otherwise peaceful existence. Will the mane 6 help Walter Kovac find peace within himself or will he bring them all down with him in his cold views of reality and existence?
