Rainbow Dash has never been to the eye-doctor. One afternoon Twilight takes her to the clinic to check her eyes after a minor flight accident. They end up finding out something that makes no sense whatsoever to any pony in Ponyville.

Woke up this morning to see that my random story that was published for no reason got featured 2/28/14. I'm not complaining, but it isn't a work of art :P. I guess anything a teenager writes about multicolored ponies amuses you.

Anon doesn't like Rarity, he just thinks about her a lot, is all. And that's only because he's worried he won't be able to repay her generosity at this festive time of year on account of his rather dire financial straits.

Following a pep talk - and a volley of snowballs - he decides to take a punt on making a meal for her.

Because why not?

Anon and Rainbow read books on a sofa. He's knackered though, and she may-well have an ulterior motive.

The local human is not especially happy being stranded where he is, finding the natives too brightly coloured and too friendly and all-in-all a little daunting. He is rarely seen outside the house on the edge of town. They give him space.

One very early morning an especially loud, house-rattling sounds draws him outside though, and rather makes his day.

Cliff, being a man of science, is busily working on a method of returning home.

But he also has a side project he tinkers with whenever he's not working on that, and today seems as good a day as any to give the thing a proper field test!

Twilight, visiting her human of choice, makes a suggestion for what they should do that particular evening. It's not unreasonable, but it is unexpected.

Still, worse things have happened.

Charlie, being displaced for reasons everyone is of course aware of, has a sudden hankering for Pinkie's company - because she might be able to make a particular pastry he's fond of.

No other reason.

It's hot out, too damn hot, and JB - local human - regrets being outside.

Still, he does bump into someone who isn't strictly-speaking in need of help but would still appreciate some, at least. The only thing warmer than the searing heat of the sun is the warm fuzzy glow of helping someone out.

So it's not all bad.

This story is a sequel to Act in haste

Thinking over what happened the last time she asked Anon for a favour - and thinking about it over and over again at some length - Twilight has grappled with some new and unexpected feelings. In an effort to better explore these she concocts a cunning plan, and wraps in the guise of another favour.

Twilight - with one thing leading to another - has rather talked herself into a corner with her Canterlot friends, and now requires Anon's help in straightening it out maybe.

It's all very awkward, if she's being honest, but he's a happy-go-lucky-chap and what's the worst that can happen, really?
