Twilight is invited to Canterlot to compete with some of the greatest magicians in the world for the Moonstone Cup, a prestigious award for the most powerful and skillful magicians, unicorn and otherwise. Can she win? What sort of competition will she face?

When Twilight tries a mass teleportation spell with her friends they get stuck in another universe. What's worse is that their landing point was a magical spring that curses it's victims to transform into whatever drowned there. They are now cursed to turn into human girls whenever splashed with cold water, but hot water changes them back.

They weren't the only ones to fall in that day. They meet Ranma a male traveling martial artist who fell into the same spring (meaning he turns in a girl), his father Genma who becomes a Panda. Twilight agrees to cure them when she figures out a cure while they give her and her friends a place to stay.

Due to a series of events, they wind up in Japan where they must pose as normal high school girls. Where they must deal with a stupid swordsman who falls in love with them, martial arts based on running, rhythmic gymnastics and figure skating, rivals from those sports. And that's barely scratching the surface of the insanity that lies for them...

Star Dreamer and Twilight Sparkle never used to be kind of ponies to have friends, but they've always had each other. As adults, they find that their friendship is the most important thing to happen to either of them.

Twilight's cutie mark is fading, and Celestia sends her a series of lessons to rekindle her passion for magic- and for friendship. Twilight must study the magics her friends possess, as well as casting a serious eye on her own gifts.

This is technically a sequel to "Fixing Up Miss Smartypants", so I totally recommend that you read that first. It's set five years later.

Discord's words rang in everypony's head at that moment, but were soon forgotten in the midst of his chaos. It is only Twilight Sparkle who has been constantly bothered by his words, relentlessly reminded of them no matter how hard she tries to forget. Now she must seek out somepony close to her, to find out if there is truth in his words.
