What happened after the changelings' invasion failed? Did they all die, or did some survive? What do we really know about any of it?

After a weekend spent in Canterlot, Twilight Sparkle arrives home to find an odd scroll in her saddlebags. In the following days Twilight is plagued by terrifying nightmares, and horrific visions from a life not her own. Can Twilight Sparkle resist the Nightmare, or will she fall prey to the darkness?

I have always been alone in this forest. I have always feasted in this forest. I call this forest home and those ponies that travel through it are my prey. I devour all those who fear me, all who come to face me. They fear me for I am Fear incarnate. But now...I have met one who does not fear...and I am unsure of what do with her...

Equestria has lasted for many a millennia, but as it's existence draws to a close, one inhabitant is left to keep vigil over a long empty world.

A Royal Guard has been sent from Canterlot to see if there is any truth to the rumors about a previously unknown monster lurking in the Everfree.

Humanity has been travelling the stars for a good 120 years now. Each new Earth-like planet they find they make peace with and trade resources to make sure humanity never goes hungry. When they find the planet that holds Equestria, they are met with an over-protective ruler who has seen Equestria burn because foreigners have arrived in hopes that they could conquer it. She will not let it happen again.

This is a one shot inspired by other stories constantly depicting Celestia as a ruler so protective that she is willing to shun humanity completely because they might want to conquer Equestria. I will not be continuing this story past the possible beginning.

Being one thousand years old is not the blessing mortal ponies make it out to be. In which Celestia preemptively stops a coup and meditates on her responsibilities as an immortal leader.

The world spins, years pass, and everything comes to an end. Except Celestia. She sits on the shore of the last ocean, watching and waiting for her own chance at death. Because everything comes to an end if you wait long enough, and Celestia is patient indeed.
