What if it was something small, unnoticeable, like a single skin cell out of place. But because of that one skin cell, you're now out of the loop of reality. Will you have ever known that that one cell was out of place, or will you just assume it's right where its always been? What about when another, and another cell becomes desynced from reality. You won't even feel yourself shifting ever so slightly, all you'll feel, is what you want to feel. You'll feel like those cells have always been there, and you won't even percieve yourself changing. It'll be reality. But not the true reality, your reality.

Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie travel to Las Pegas for a bachelorette party to celebrate their friend Rarity's impending marriage. However, after awakening from a long night of partying, Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie find they have no memory of the night before and must race against time and across Equestria's infamous city of sin to find Rarity so the wedding can occur.

Wow, Fluttershy sure looks rough. Like, really rough. She says that she's just been up late since she joined a band. At least, that's what she's told her friends. Twilight suspects otherwise. After all, Fluttershy's much too gentle and shy a pony to have joined a band. Clearly something else is up.

Everypony tells Twilight she's worrying over nothing. That is, until Fluttershy is seen in the company of strange ponies. And going around town in a cloak. And showing up at strange places!

Fluttershy? Is everything okay?

Rainbow Dash is many things. Mainly awesome. But romantic, certainly not. Of all the ponies who would attempt a forbidden romance, nopony would have thought she would.

Now she finds herself head over hooves in love with a mortal enemy of the country. On top of that, she has to face the one group of ponies she's terrified of rejecting her new found romance: her best friends.

The rest of the story is a continuation from the prompt.

This is my entry for the EFNW 2014 Writing Contest. I'm really happy with it so it doesn't matter whether I win or not. Seriously I'm glad I got to tell this story.
