Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been marefriends for a year now and they couldn't be happier. So why does Applejack seem worried one evening after the two have shared a wonderful picnic?

Rainbow Dash doesn't have anypony to spend her Hearth's Warming with—she hasn't for many years. All of her friends are enjoying it and she's had enough. She finds her way to Sweet Apple Acres and asks Applejack if she can spend the evening with her family.

Rainbow Dash was born as the daughter to a Duke of Canterlot, who denies her her freedom and keeps her confined to her tower at almost all times. Applejack is a poor apple farmer from Ponyville who goes into Canterlot to sell her wares. When the two ponies meet during the Summer Sun Celebration, they fall in love. But with an Equestrian class struggle threatening to boil over, their fledgling love will face the ultimate test. AppleDash AU ship.

To see somepony die is painfull. To see somepony die slowly in front of your eyes unable to do anything but watch their life fade away, that is tormenting.
Yet it is this torment Rainbow Dash is experiencing when Applejack is left grievously wounded; knowing her own failure doomed her marefiend. Now Rainbow Dash is willing to do anything to undo what was done, even if it the price turns out to be her very life.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash have always been the best of friends, but can they take that friendship even further? How much will they go through to confess their love for each other? and who will be caught in the crossfire?

Sequel to 'Always connected' that follows Rainbow Dash and Applejack as they enter the war that was started because of Gilda. They learn about all of the sacrifices that the other elements of harmony made, while at the same time coming to grips with new powers in order to fulfil an ancient prophecy that indicates that they are the ponies destined to end the war... or die trying.
