Hey, guys!
So something like three months ago, I got a friend of mine to try FiM. Needless to say, if I’m blogging about it, he’s become a fan and has recently binged his way through all seven seasons like a true champ. Now with that under his belt, he’s been doing the usual lurking around the fandom thing all newcomers do and enjoying all the memes and stuff I’ve thrown at him.
But let’s face it, guys, we’ve got seven years of pony behind us. That’s a lot of fan content he needs and wants to catch up on before Season 8 hits.
So that’s where you guys come in, if you don’t mind doing me a favor.
I’ve seen most of the things that this fandom has to offer—the good, the bad, the ugly, and all the stuff in between—but I don’t keep a master list of all pony everything (I know, I’m a terrible person). There’s lots of stuff I’ve shown him, but most of it’s merely apropos to conversations, so there’s plenty I know I haven’t shown him yet.
Help me change that! Don’t worry about whether or not I might have shown him a thing or not. If you think it’s worth sharing, throw it in the comments!
Rules of thumb:

Stardust (Xcom): Twilight lands in xcom, no prior knowledge required, and makes the game if you know it more fleshed out. The sequel is more of a mixed reception
The Enchanted Library: Queen of Raritwi's masterpiece. She (monochromatic) also has a lot of other good things
DWK (Youtube): Rambly drunk man who recaps the shows. totally. I'm serious.
Harmony Theory: Far future, shit goes down. EoH are revived one by one somehow
Austraeoh: Rainbow Dash flies east. Many things happen. Cities are saved, friends are made, friends are lost, but to the horizon she will go.
It Takes a Village: Spike grows up.
Quantum Castaways: Twilight lands in a strange place with no way out. Her only companion is a human who's been stuck there for even longer

God help me, this still makes me laugh
BUT YEAH. Fic wise, I think One Man's Pony Ramblings is a great place to start -- I've found so much cool stuff that way. As for music, I'd recommend anything by PinkiePieSwear, especially Flutterwonder. It's still awesome, even after all this time.
