Now that I've got the urgent plea part of today's blog dump out of the way, I have something to say about a certain type of Sunset Shimmer fic there are way too many of.
(BTW, there won't be a weekly death blog this week, because while plenty of people died this week, none of them were anybody I've ever even heard of.)

Ah well, I think people should be allowed to write what they wanna write, this IS a fanfiction site after all, be that as it may I'm not a fan of those kinds of Sunset fics, but as I said, the benefit and curse of fanfiction is people can write whatever they wanna write :/
I don't really have a problem with those, to be honest. 'Fad' is one letter away from 'fade', which is what's gonna happen.
You know, I'd like to see a story where Sunset is a little upset that she really doesn't want to f*ck a horse. That's the closest analogy to her homeworld, but her human body is instead frustratingly wired to want lanky furless monkeys with stupid blue hair!

I have to disagree with you. So far, I've enjoyed every single Homesick Sunset fic, but I feel like all of them were lacking something I can't quite put my finger on. I want them to go on at least until someone writes the perfect one.

Exactly. Which is why MM is free to complain about the existence of these fics. More than that, he's only asking the authors themselves to quit it with this type of fic, he's not going to the mods/site owners to push his will onto the community. Until he does, he's as free to express his disgust with them as you are free to enjoy them, and you should defend HIS freedom of speech with as much zeal as you defend your own, whether you disagree with him or not.

I read this because I'm planning to use Sunset Shimmer in one of my stories and I didn't want to do anything that'd been done before. Now I know I have nothing to worry about.

My honest opinion is that Sunset and an unintelligent horse is definitely not. In my mind she sees them more akin to New Foals than anything else.
....And here I thought I was the only one who actually had a problem with this whole thing. But it turns out I was wrong, there are people who realized how messed up that is. THANK GOD! PREACH MAN PREACH!

Those fics are perfectly logical; it's the exact equivalent of those many, many stories of a human male being transported to equestria, becoming a pony in body, but being attracted to non-sapient gorillas or chimpanzees instead of other ponies, because he's still human inside.
At least I assume there's loads of fics like that. I don't really read many "Human in Equestria" fics.
3792140 The difference is that a human screwing a horse, while still gross, won't cause the horse to die. Human genitalia is comically smaller than a horse's.
In the real world, there are people who find horses sexually appealing and have tried having sex with them and their kin. Also in the real world, there are a number of deaths that have resulted from this.
The size difference is the thing that gets me though. In reality, a horse's male member is roughly a third of its body length - and horses are really big. A human's is about one twentieth their height and we're not as tall as horses are long. The reason male human to female horse works is because the horse hardly notices and mostly doesn't care - otherwise they'd buck a few times and there'd be a few less humans in the world. The male horse with a human is potentially deadly because it's so much bigger and stronger than us.
Even at the generally accepted sizes the MLP ponies are, their equipment would still dwarf ours. Every clop fic that has a human and a horse is either fooling themselves about the horse being able to enjoy something they can barely feel, or is ignoring physics and having the penetrated human survive without having to use any care or assistance.
The whole genre of human/pony sex is ridiculous in so many ways.
