I love you so much. I hate to admit it, but no pony in the world matters to me more than you. But it has to end. I have to stop you. No matter what.

I love pacing of the story.
But beyond that.
Rarity's change of attitude ("Was it worth it?") seems unexpectable: caught criminals of such caliber usually sorry that they got caught ("No... I only needed a few more days…") rather than think if they were wrong.
Well, I remember reading interviews of some rapists who felt sorry for their victims(or so they said), had self-disgusts(or so they said) and wanted to be caught(or so they said), but it's definitely not Rarity.
(And I'm lazy to find proper sources)
Being victim of Fancy's wraith, she might be not a proper criminal per se, but point still applies
Awesome chapter! Though I firtly start reading this for the clop, you turned it whole in an awesome story!
also...1687243 I think that her attitude kind of make sense. What she is questioning is if it the consequeces were worth her pleasures... and by consequences I mean never see Sweetie again and not the fact that she's been arrested
I love this story. The pace, drama, feels, everything. Keep it up.
1687669 You are correct, Rarity is not at all concerned with whether her actions were right or not. It's the fact that she may never again see sweetie that terrifies her. Her attitude really hasn't changed, if there was a way for her to escape all of this with Sweetie, she would, and she'd be using Sweetie again as soon as possible.
So Silver Spoon going to try to get a Gallery unicorn to cast the spell she found. Too bad they don't know how to use magic according to chapter 3, though it might be interesting to see an earth pony to try to teach a unicorn magic. Good chapter as always and as always I wish there was more NOW
It will be sad to see this go, I think. The divisiveness of it, the strange character reinterpretations on par with Cupcakes or Fallout: Equestria, the scale and scope of it. Intellectually I understand the impact and importance.
Non-intellectually, I like Silver Spoon and hate seeing foals hurt for any reason. And tangentally I actually like Fancy Pants, having used him a few times in small roles; and Sweetie Belle, in a rather long Utena parody (how appropriate); I even like Rarity, even if I find her hard to write. And of course I use Princess Celestia regularly.
I guess in this instance it is very important to let reason smother instinct, to sublimate opinion and let majority and calculation make the choices. It will I deed be a most terrible thing to see this story finish. On a literary level, aside from the questionably-legal bits (nternational law is odd with regards to textual depictions of this kind of work) it takes a dark ride that seems to be popular. Numbers are empirical and quantifiable, impossible to deny. You've done good work and you've always been an even and respectful fellow.
I still wonder why, and wonder what Equestria would really be like, corrupt from the head down. If anyone would ever want to live there again. I wonder if you actally made an Equestria more poisonous, offensive and disgusting than the irradiated wasteland of Kkat's twisted imagination.
But, let reason smother instinct and sublimation trump emotion. Fiat lux, and success in all your endeavors.

Why thank you, Gabe. I know you're not very fond of my subject matter, but it's always good to hear from you because you're incredibly gracious about your objections. Most people who don't like my content just send me angry PM's in all caps. But you (and a few other nice folks) have always been quite civil about your dislike of my work, and I really appreciate it. Best of luck in all your future work as well.
Not going to lie, I will miss it when it's over. I feel like it would be cheapening things to keep it going forever, even though a part of me kind of wants to. But another part is anticipating the conclusion of the project. We're still a decent distance from there (don't expect an ending before the new year) but I'm inching closer.
Not sure how I'll feel when I reach the end, but I guess I'll find out!

I do know the feeling, in some sense. I never made a series that was that long, unless you sort of count The Bad Apple Chronicles. It's not over over because, much as you have Dark Equestria I have sort of inadvertantly created an interconnected universe of referential stories I tentatively title the Spoiled Barrel. There's even sidestories and expansion thanks to a very dear friend of mine, much like you and Van Ash.... sorry, I'm on a phone and trying to find the name is a hassle. I'm sorry that seems disrespectful but these are the realities of life In any even, the world is not over but the series could not continue as it had been. It's one of those things writers face. I truly feel for you as this work of heart comes to a close. In the words of a song that I enjoy, "Oh labor of love is the truest of all." and you do prove it. We may see things differently, and yet, we are so alike in so many ways.
ATTENTION READERS:
In case you missed my blog post on the subject, please be aware that I cannot update this week due to a personal emergency.
I'll be back next Monday as always. Sorry for the delay.
This...should be the theme song of this series. Agreed?

Oh, wow. That song works almost disturbingly well! It hits all the major thematic points of Rarity and Silver's relationship. Great find!
BRB, paying a major animation studio a hundred grand to produce an anime-style Tarnished Silver opening sequence set to this song.
1762496Glad you think so I was listening to my Halestorm playlist and was like, ....holy shit. And someone suggested that "Innocence" should be on 50 Shade's soundtrack. I was like, PFFFT fuck that! Tarnished Silver FTW!
>Do you remember how you said that the whole mansion was open to me?
I think that "was" should be "is"
>>MacabreShy
Yes totally but I think I miss the misery is almost as good for Silver wanting rarity to hurt her
By the way
I miss the misery is also by Halestorm
Rarity talking about her past in the middle of her monologue was kind of out of place. The rest of it was all, "I understand better, they are but sheep, It is the nature of the predator" and then in the middle there's that little line about how she's her father's victim. It just felt like a sour note.
Either Fancy's delousonal as Tarturus, or that shadow pony whats-his-name is making sure she won't escape.
Either way, Fancy's delousonal as Tarturus.
Fancy pants sees SS as kind of an exotic pet it seems. Something for him to pamper and keep around.
Though accusing Rarity of murder is risky. He'll have to hide Silver Spoon.
