Amnesia was a inspiration. The monster in a bunker was something that I wanted to adapt to mlp.
Twilight's new body sounds like some kind of gargoyle or the Jersey Devil.

Hee kind of like opposite of stroies where the humans think ponies can't be a threat cause they are too cute. He thought there was no way something so scary looking could be friendly. In reality it's usually best to assume anything can be a threat and treat it like it is when it's cute or scary looking.
