This was fantastic. I'm kind of annoyed that there's a bunch of people nitpicking dumb canon details of a series that's only the most loosely important to this one of the most precision, complete, well paced and crushing clopfics I've read in months. Years? I got flashbacks of a favorite author from years ago, yeah.
The start by itself hits my weird gross kinks perfectly — Gale's adorable, and the utter, unprofessional, ridiculous swooning she does (and you provide just enough detail for Prince to be hot, and me to fall for him too!); and how she's humiliated by the no-sell already hits me in a niche that typically goes completely under-served.
When we get to the meat of things itself, you manage to capture the details needed to make this fantasy click so well. Gale's denial and cognitive slips are cute and convincing; the changelings are intimidating, terrifying, commanding, and just nice and precise enough to be inviting.
The teasing and orgasm denial layered onto our cutie's mental denial works so well, the pain
playis intense, but just light enough to not press into sympathy and sadness. Having Prince star in things is lovely, and the kind of thing that I'm always disappointed that bug kinksters are too excited by their bugfucking to make proper use of. And the gradual, just slightly noticeable slip into non-existence of "-but-not-really"s is a fun and effective way to underline the mental slip ups.The description of Gale utterly blanking and past her limits is hot.
And leaving us with a nice, satisfying climax, and a hopeless/hopeful promise of more is a perfect, teasing ending and I love it.
Overall, all the themes and elements, and how you layer many levels of corruption, betrayal, horror, war, and sex into something monstrously thrilling and enticing is massively appreciated. Thank you so much for writing and sharing.

I believe this has the dubious honor of "first EAW clopfic that you can jack off to". The last one had the whole backdrop of genocide, a bit of a boner killer to be honest. :P
Very well paced and plays with some kinks that writers usually don't touch on. I like the idea of a changeling transforming to someone's crush as a bargaining token, a nice and inventive way of using changeling powers in a way that makes sense. All of the kinks are executed pretty well, and y'know, heat's just kinda hot. Sometimes you just want a hot stallion to plow.
In terms of the writing, I like it a lot. I agree with Exuno with the fake outs and not quite being in her right mind. Usually when someone writes something using that, it's more frustrating and confusing in a bad way, here it was executed well so the reader had to stay on their feet or more likely get swept away and not fully trust the narrator. I also just find it really hot how desperate Gale gets and how she reasons herself into just giving in.
Overall, very fun and titillating. I'm too gay to jack off to it but I know it'll be exciting for plenty of people.
