Her lack of enthusiasm about her audience with the Princess of Equestria was apparent in her constant pacing and distressed ramblings.

“Well, Starlight,” Sunburst cut in, his own magic moving after Starlight’s to return the moved objects to their place.

He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t hear the approaching sound of hoove steps and cheerful chatter until it was too late. A flash of light blue fur was the last thing he saw before he crashed into the stallion’s chest, causing him to stumble backwards, landing on his rear with a sound of dazed alarm.

classic meet-cute! especially with such an adorkably absent-minded stallion as Sunburst

The stallion tilted his head at Starburst, his ears flopping to the side in a very cute way and that was something he really should not be thinking.

i mean how can you not think that is so very cute tho? love the horses and their ears

"No!" She cried, magic glimmering, though, Sunburst couldn't locate where the focus of it was. "They're moving it to today!"

well that’s not gonna calm Starlight down any

Starlight just wailed, and Sunburst wilted, ears drooping as he watched his friend. He could practically hear her spiralling thoughts, and he had no idea what to do to help. He'd never been all that good at comforting anypony. And her wailing didn't help his own spiralling thoughts, all of which happened to be about a light blue stallion.

and a great chaos to end it in! i feel like i am really in Sunburst’s skin by the end of this, right there with him as his head is trying to juggle calming down a very panicky Starlight and processing literally running into a cute stallion all at once. great start, and i hope you do continue and finish this!

This is off to a very sweet start! Sunburst's attempts to console poor anxious Starlight alongside unexpectedly bumping into the handsome Soarin makes for a fun, energetic opener. I'm curious to learn what Soarin is up to at the castle and how he and Sunburst might interact once the chaos has subsided and they're able to have a proper conversation. I hope you continue this!
