CopperTop

A Graduate of the Don Bluth School of Making the Protagonist Suffer.

T

While it is advertised as a technological paradise, Light City is not without its seedy underbelly. The fine officers of the LCPD work tirelessly to tame its mean streets, and Boolean Value has had his heart set on protecting the creatures of his city for as long as he could remember.

However, his first day at the department isn't turning out to be at all what he'd dreamed. The pegasus mare who has been assigned to serve as his partner and mentor isn't living up to the high ideals he'd set. Will he lose his way beneath her cynical tutelage? Or can he hold fast to what he knows in his heart to be right?

kinda imagined the dead space flatline at the end.

BUt enoyed it! I always found the police in cyperpunk the ost interesting, given there are still guys believing in helping the public.

Too bad 2077 messed it up, I really loved the introduction of the special force and love the police siren.

Although...i wonder why they never bothered with fire departments in the cyberpunk universe

Hehe. I seem to remember that one of the player roles in OG Cyberpunk was police related? So, yeah, definitely good cops in the Cyberpunk setting. Though, like everything else in Cyberpunk, they're the exception and not the rule. As poor Boolean found out :P

As for the fire stuff...that's a good point:rainbowderp:! I guess we can either decide that first suppression systems are so good that dedicated fire departments are redundant, or we can just acknowledge that game writers don't always think of everything :rainbowwild:

yep, i mean, the trauma teams are the paramedics, thus I wondered.

If I may add, my comment on your other story about the Pegasus, I said that as the description of the colors kinda matched My OC I told you about:twilightsheepish:

Stupid kid. I would have took her out behind her back when I have a chance.

At least I got rid of one crooked cop/sociopathic hit-mare out of this city.

It's Training Day meets Cyberpunk meets Ponies as Boolean Value (superb name by the way) joins his chain smoking superior Dragnet in hunting down lost data on the mean streets. It's grim, its edgy, it's a bit cliche at times. Yet I can't help getting gripped by the twists and turns. My only real criticism is Boolean seems just a bit too naive to me.

Lol, I should use that summary as the description :P

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
