I used to be the person who would say that to my friends to mess with them and their reaction would be the same as yours. Characters in various episodes have been notorious for saying things to that same effect, so that bit of Rarity's diary (log) was meant to keep in line with the show's continuity. I dunno why all the downvotes so far. I mean if this does turn into Shining falling for Sweetie then I'm jumping ship. But so far it just seems like it gonna be a cute crush that Shining has to side line. Hijinks abound!

Seems even the best written stories I've read get downvoted for reasons unknown. One of the great mysteries of life, I suppose. And don't worry...the story is NOT going in the direction one might dread (this is a comedy, after all), as Shining Armor is a happily married stallion!

Saved it for later. This seems like a really good premise. I love crazy romantic stories, especially if they are silly ones like this. Poor Sweetie Belle, she's growing up with hormones and gets her first crush. Too bad for her is shining armor! She has good taste though.
