After an unintentional disassembly of the amulet capable of controlling the sun and moon, Twilight takes it to a Canterlot clockmaker in hopes he can fix it - and fast.
This story was written in just over an hour, and took first place in a Quills and Sofas speedwriting competition.
Damn it, Twilight.
We’ve all been there as kids - trying to fix something that broke, or helping a sibling that has lost or broken something, yes?
Nice exposition with the repair
And yes, too much oil can indeed be bad.
Twilight took the paper and read over it, and her eyes bugged out.
“How many bits!?”
I'd hate to be in Twilight's hooves as it's probably coming out of her own bits.
Always a pleasure to see a master at work. One wonders though, since it was an overnight job how did Twilight explain the need for the Sisters to operate the sun and moon?
Perhaps that was why they were in town, yes?

Twilight did break it. Only right she pays for it.
Remontoire's pride for his craft and family makes me happy. He really is an artist.
That was a good story.
Remontoire may be a brilliant clock maker, but that doesn't mean he can read the room...
