This is rather intriguing conceptually, is it mean to take place many years after the movies? I get the vibe that Sunset has 'forgotten the magic' so to speak.

I’m only now noticing this comment, but yes, she doesn’t have magic—neither do the Rainbooms, because this takes place in a universe (Punkbabii!) were she isn’t apart of the mane 7—not yet. Currently, she only knows Sci-Twi, and they are far from friends.
I guess I should’ve marked this as an alt. universe, but I didn’t feel like the story had enough elements that diverged from canon to earn the tag.
