Decent.... 5/10 it could be that it was short though.
I was surprised how much the idea of a mule getting pregnant bothered me. Like, I don’t think it’s a flaw with the story (magical world and all), but there’s something that feels fundamentally wrong about it to me.

Does for me as well. Because of the chromosome mismatch between a horse and donkey, miles are always sterile. Even for a world of magic and all the different races, I can't extend my suspension of disbelief that far.
