Vindicar

T

For a long while Equestria had remained at the forefront of progress. Sure, the creativity of modern scholars isn't quite up to the level of the fabled Starswirl the Bearded, but it allows them to maintain their position as the strongest nation of Equus. Even centuries of splendid isolation hadn't changed that.

Rather unorthodox, but I found it interesting to read the little news stories!

Thank you! I'm not really good with more traditional story formats, so I've been trying to find something I can work with. =)

Yeah, I thought it was quite unique!

The ending chapter was neat too. It felt sort of like a puzzle, so I went back and read the first chapter to try to piece it back together.

Thanks!

this is really cool and unique, I love the large scale worldbuilding in your fics, it makes me feel like some kind of historian
It's just that the ending was strange, is the idea that no one will take equestria seriously now that Celestia retired? surely the threat of "magic" is equally as dangerous as "the sun".. and it's not like Celestia died, right

It's less not taking the threat of the Sun seriously and more wanting to end this humiliating and expensive charade now that there is a more sensible and open-minded person in charge. Basically, they know Twilight can be a powerful moderating influence - a factor that hasn't been present before.
I guess other nations too have been caught in their belief that Celestia is a psycho ready to go off at the slightest perceived threat.

Either way, thank you for giving it a read. =)
