Hello, I'm Discord.

"Randall what are you reading?" the girl inquired.

I asked after pulling out my headphones "What did you say?"

The girl rolled her eyes irritably, "I asked what are you reading?"

"Oh, sorry," I said.

After a few moments, I added: "It's a book about a demon king who has the power to create Chaos at the snap of his fingers, his name is Asmoagatos."

"Again about demons" the girl replied irritably.

"Why not?" I shrugged indifferently.

"I don't mind it, but why don't you read something else? Like science books or something like that? It's so much more interesting!" she replied slightly irritated.

"Heh" I smirked, "because I'm interested in reading about demons, not science".

"And anyway, how do you read listening to music with headphones on, it's distracting after all!" she exclaimed.

With a smug smile I replied: "I'm not listening to music, I just put my headphones on so the road noise doesn't distract me."

She didn't seem to be happy with any of my answers and was again mildly annoyed, then she moved away from me to the next seat on the bus.

I was about to put on my headphones and continue reading the book, but suddenly she said dejectedly "Well... Why are we so lucky!?" Then she shook her head irritably.

"Why exactly were there not enough seats for us on the school bus with everyone else and now we have to take a separate bus, all alone" she said in a sad voice.

"Lynette" I called out, but the girl didn't answer.

"Little sis," I called out again.

"What are you trying to say?" she sadly replied.

After thinking for a while, I said "I just wanted to say that when you ride alone it has its perks."

"Get off" She said with an irritated wave of her hand angrily and returned to her seat on the bus and turned away looking sadly out the window.

'I realise she's very sociable and doesn't share my interests at all, but it seems her response was too rude' I thought.

I didn't bother to look into the situation and continued reading my book, but before I could immerse myself in the world of the book I noticed that it had started to rain.

"Hey!" I heard through my headphones, then took it off.

"We're here," Lynette said.

I closed my book and looked around, grabbing my stuff and heading for the bus exit. Outside, the rainy weather was waiting for me and the rest of my classmates group under umbrellas, my little sister was already beside them.

Joining them we all headed to the camping spot together.

"Peter what do you think? What are we doing tonight?" my friend Jame asked.

Peter cheerfully replied "Certainly not sleep."

"I've brought lots of delicious food with me" said James.

"What do you think?" also asked James.

I replied to him "I brought my laptop so we can watch some movie or play games."

"Great idea to watch a movie!" my friends exclaimed.

"But what are we going to watch?" they asked.

After thinking for a while I replied "I know a funny foreign film".

"Really? What is it?" inquired Peter from me.

"It's a film about a guy reliving a day over and over again until he gets the day right. I won't tell you much, I want you to see for yourself."

"I know a similar anime!" suddenly exclaimed Jame.

Nodding my head affirmatively, I said "Yes, I know one too, but I'm talking specifically about the movie."

"Oh, okay..." my friends replied.

When we got to the place where our group was going to camp, the rain had already stopped and so we gathered in a pile, where our counselor decided to hold a general gathering and give a few details.

Umbriel gathered us all in a circle and began his briefing, "Boys and girls, I invite everyone to listen to me carefully. I warn you that there may be small wild animals in this forest, so be on your guard, I will now hand out a little safety instruction book to everyone, make sure you read it! But first the boys set up all the tents and the girls help them. When the tents are set up everyone needs to read the safety manual as a matter of urgency and report back to me whether you have read it or not. Is everyone understood? And please don't move too far away, all tents must be within my sight."

The crowd unanimously agreed with the counselor's words and then proceeded to action.

My friends and I decided the three of us would set up our shared tent, we found a flat, flat spot under a large tree not far from everyone else, and then proceeded to set up the tent.

We unpacked our backpacks and emptied them of everything we needed. Clearing a place of small stones and twigs, we put the tent frame on the ground and marked out places where we would set pegs, then secured the tent. Inside the tent we placed several plaids on the bottom to prevent cold from the ground during the night, and then began to put our personal belongings inside the big tent.

When we had finished and emerged from the tent outside, we found another tent next to us, just a few meters to the left, which I immediately recognized, it was my sister's tent.

After a few moments Lynette came out of her tent, after which she said "Why did you put your tent next to us?" she asked grudgingly.

"But we got here earlier, didn't we" I immediately objected.

For a second I noticed the bewilderment on her face, after which she smugly said "Never mind, you can stay here", after which she turned away and returned to the tent.

Jame put his hand on my shoulder and said "Never mind".

I silently agreed with him, after which I similarly returned to our tent set up with my friends.

"I think it's about time I read the instruction book" remarked Peter.

I took the book the counselor gave me and started reading. The beginning talked about basic safety rules about not setting fire to the forest and such, furthermore the book talked about how to behave when faced with small and large wild animals, but as I turned the next page, Jame, who seemed to have already read further said "Guys, the book seems to say that it is not recommended to put the tent under large trees".

"Hey! What could happen?" objected Peter.

Jame doubtfully muttered "Well..."

"I doubt you want to re-set the tent," I added.

Jame surrendered "Okay, I agree" going with our opinion.

I found the instructions boring, so I put them aside and picked up the book I had been reading on the bus.

After I had read a couple of pages, Peter said that it was now necessary to go to the counselor and let him know that we were done. We agreed with him.

Coming out of the tent we immediately saw Umbriel and immediately went to him. As we got closer to him we saw that he and the other guys had already prepared a place for the fire and had even set up chairs.

"Have you finished?" asked Umbriel when we got close.

We nodded affirmatively, whereupon Umbriel asked to show us where the tent was set up.

We amicably pointed to a spot under a tree and were prepared for Umbriel to tell us to move the tent, but he simply said it was fine and let us go.

We looked towards our tent and were a little surprised, our tent blended in almost completely with the terrain and was little visible, whereas our sister's tent standing in a more open position was very visible.

I thought 'Seems we were lucky, Umbriel thought my sister's tent was our tent and so we didn't have to move it.'

Back in the tent I headed to my backpack, I pulled out my laptop and switched it on. While the laptop was switched on I took my phone out of my pocket and checked for connectivity, but there was none. At this point the laptop signalled that it was fully on, but Umbriel's voice distracted me.

I stepped out of the tent and heard Umbriel calling the names of the guys who would go with him into the woods to find dry branches for the evening fire, among those names were Peter and Jame, but I was not called out and so I went back into the tent.

Walking over to my laptop I noticed that I had received a notification. 'Strange, there's no connection here,' I thought, then I checked the internet connection and that too was gone.

I opened the strange notification, there was no author's signature, no subject and the strangest thing was that the time of arrival of the message was 3 am the next day. Also in the notification was the text: There will be a phone call at 3am. You will also get hundreds of notifications. Don't pick up the phone and don't read the notifications.

«Tonight is going to be such a beautiful night» was written in light grey text on the white background of the notification, I hardly noticed it.

'Another prank, there must have been a connection here for a moment and I got this weird notification' I thought.

"Let's hurry up to the tent," cried out Jame.

"It started raining again, so let's go before we get wet," Peter encouraged him.

We quickly returned to our tent and got ready to watch the movie, the time was 22:07 on the laptop.

"Wait!" I suddenly exclaimed.

I also added "I have to check on my sister."

"But you'll get wet" said Jame.

"Especially if you have a bad relationship, why are you doing this?" queried Peter.

I said "You wouldn't understand me, whatever she's doing she's still my sister" and with that I left our tent.

As I stepped out of the tent I felt a strong wind and the pounding of cold raindrops against my body and the fog that limited my visibility. Pulling on my T-shirt like a hood, I quickly ran towards my sister's faintly visible tent.

I ran towards the silhouette of the tent, but it seemed smaller with each step. I stopped immediately as I realised something was wrong and turned back around and ran back to the tent. The whole situation really bothered me.

After a few moments I saw the familiar silhouette of a tent, running closer I noticed that it wasn't my tent, it was my sister's tent.

'What the...' I thought and without a second thought I went into the tent.

Inside the tent was my sister all alone, holding my laptop, 'Look what I found' said Lynette.

On my laptop I had a hidden folder of the mlp series open, I was a big fan, but I've been carefully hiding it. And I knew for a fact that the laptop I took didn't have any of the mlp stuff on it.

Suddenly my phone vibrated, I opened it and the first thing I noticed was that the time was 03:00, but it had been 22:07 just a few minutes earlier.

In an instant, my phone started getting hundreds of notifications that said "It's such a beautiful night, don't look at the moon."

I took my eyes off my phone and looked at Lynette, but in her place sat another creature, or rather it was Lynette's body, but with the head of a strange creature, it only took me a couple seconds to realize that it was the face of a draconic - Discord.

"Di... Disc... Discord?" I could barely utter, I inquired "What are... What are you doing... here?" my knees were trembling, I felt like I was going to punch the ground through.

"Right," Discord replied with a mocking laugh.

"I have one suggestion for you" and without waiting for me to answer, immediately continued, "Let's play," he said as well, then assumed his true form and gave me a slight nudge, but it was enough to make me fall out of the tent. His voice echoed in my head.

I found myself sitting on the ground, the sky was crystal clear and there was no sign of wind or rain. I found myself in front of the tent, but this time it was my tent already. The moon instantly caught my eye, it looked unusually beautiful, as if I was seeing it for the first time.

Right in front of me, out of thin air, Draconicus appeared and said "I've noticed a very interesting film and I really like it" said Discord jokingly.

Draconicus then took on the guise of my sister, walked over to me and held out his hand. In a state of shock, I didn't hesitate to take Lynette's hand, who at the same moment in Discord's voice said, "Good deal."

In the blink of an eye my sister's silhouette disappeared into thin air and I was left alone with my tent.

For a few seconds I tried to come to my senses but I couldn't do it, I tried to squeeze out a word but again to no avail. I looked up and stared at the mesmerizing moon, I sat like that for a few seconds, but it felt like hours had passed.

The newly appeared draconicus said "I told you not to look at the moon" and disappeared.

"But why?" I squeezed out with difficulty, but the draconicus was gone.

Suddenly I was stunned by the unusually loud sound of the alarm on my phone. I unlocked my phone and saw a single message that said «Look to the right».

I turned my head slowly and saw the tree under which we had pitched our tent, next to it was the instruction book Umbriel had given me.

I thought 'But the tree was elsewhere.'

I looked closely at the book, it was open on a page that said not to pitch the tent under trees, especially large ones.

In an instant there was a lightning strike, a screech and a suddenly growing shadow from the suddenly leaning tree after the lightning strike.

"Oww..." was the only thing I managed to say before the tree completely fell on me.

As the tree fell on me I clutched my eyes and prepared for the worst, but there was no pain and I didn't even feel any touch on my body. I opened my eyes and looked around, I was in the same clearing as always, the tree was still in place and the sun was slowly setting over the horizon, but the landscape around the clearing I was in stood out very much, everything there was as strange as possible, chocolate clouds, bushes made of what appeared to be candyfloss and other totally random and illogical things.

Suddenly the thought of examining my body popped into my head, for a tree had just fallen on me.

"What the ..."

Author's Note:

I wonder if this story has a future🤔
I think when the second chapter comes out everything will be much clearer. The second chapter will appear 100%.

Yes!!! Cool, when is the sequel!?

I'd like to do it this coming weekend, but I'm a student, so I can't promise:pinkiesad2:

Understand. Good luck and new victories, because one already exists.

woah, kinda freaky start!

keep it up!~

I look forward to the next chapter ❤️🍓:twilightblush:

Finally read the first chapter so far it's interesting, I am looking forward to see how it will pan out.

Also, a little suggestion to help in your writing, avoid using the same words, or sentence structure as the one before, as it often give a sense of repetitiveness, like the arriving and entering the tent part, as you can infer that it follow up to it. The dialogue is fine for the most part but the descriptions that you give in how they say it comes of as very neutral tone and makes the dialogue feel lifeless; I would suggest that you use more colorful descriptive terms like: "she cheerfully added" "I grumbled in annoyance", "he shrugged indifferently" as just to name a few examples. And the last point you might want to explain give your protagonist a little back story to him, like why he likes these kinds of fantasy books or his relation to his friends if only a few hints, or like why is his sister also with the trip, shouldn't they be in different grades, how well do they get along.

You might want to look into using a next to speech program like Balabolka (yes it's free) to help pick up on your mistakes and sentence structure.

Keep in mind these are just suggestions, best of luck on your story.

Hey, thanks for the advice! I'll keep it in mind and for now I'm using my favourite excuse - English isn't my native language:pinkiehappy:

Same situation here, I speak French actually, but the principles can apply to almost any languages

Ooooh I wonder how this version on Discord will handle the MLP Universe or Timeline

11214416
It might be something unexpected, but if you have ideas, I can find a place for it :twilightsheepish:

Do what Spike the Dragon Brony did. Change a few minor events, but keep the major ones more or less the same. Or f the timeline, help in a few events. Like have Randall go up to Trixie to act an assistant and ask Twilight with help with some of the illusions . And possibly call Rainbow out for 'pot meet kettle' type of thing.

One major change he could affect is help Twilight expose Chrysalis or calm her down and even suggest Twi "If you think this is a fake Cadence, ask her something both the real Cadence or Celestia would know. Don't directly confront her with accusations right away, infront of Celestia you should asked Cadence "Who's Sunset Shimmer?" "

Right in front of me, out of thin air, Draconicus appeared and said "I've noticed a very interesting film and I really like it" said Diskord jokingly.

Is Discord misspelled Diskord on purpose? Because it seems that way.

Also, from the fact that it's been over 9 months since this was updated, I think the chance of there being another chapter is definitely less than 100%.

11459379
yes it is a mistake, thanks for noticing:twilightsmile:

The reason for the lack of updates is simple and corny, I don’t have enough time and energy to study and be creative at the same time, I can’t say if there will be updates or not, but I definitely want to continue updating all my projects. Well, politics got in the way a bit too:twilightoops:
