Never watched the show. I just make up stuff for the sake of stress relief. - Why do I have a feeling that doing this will bite me in the sides later on?

Sequels1

T

Recently, Hellquill has been sending thousands of volunteers to the Changeling Lands to fight against the pony forces of Equestria in the Great War. 'Führer' Katerinburg explains to fellow Griffons through a furious speech why such move was necessary. Explaining to them the "true nature" of the Harmony, and the threat of "International Pony Menace".

There are quite a few tense errors and a few cases of 'griffin' which need changing to 'griffon', but aside from that, a wonderful view into the mind of a madgriff. Worse, a smart madgriff. He makes salient points, then uses them to come to bizarre conclusions.

Fascinating. The start was a smidgen slow, the story could definitely benefit from some edits, and I find it hard to believe von Katerinburg lived on Equestria for a prolonged time or that he was ever a friend of TS (assuming he isn't lying of course). But overall a pretty thought out and entertaining look into reformisten ideology.

The whole part about Harmony being the ideology of "weakness, and of blind obedience" was particularly interesting. Definitely a pretty nice ponyfication, so to speak, of the nazi's derisive distaste for 'weak christian morality'.

A thing that did bother me slightly was how little he talked about the changelings (despite the speech being about why Hellquill needed to help them in the Great War he practically said nothing about them). It also seemed to me like von Katerinburg downplayed the racial dimension too much for a reformisten (a nazi).

I'm dyslexic, so please excuse the errors.

His time in Equestria was supposed to be a parallel to how Hitler went to Vienna (a city which was used to filled with Jews) and came out of it as an Antisemite. As for his "friendship", it is completely up to your imagination.
As for the Changelings, he doesn't give a damn about them. He sees them as literal bugs that need to be crushed when the right time comes, and only supports them simply because they are fighting against what he hates. Just like how Hitler aided "lower races" in various conflicts (such as in Spain and China).
Thanks for the comment though

The Changeling thing makes sense. The whole "prolonged stay in Equestria as a parallel with Hitler's stay in Vienna" is intriguing as an idea but I still find it too unbelievable. Particularly that he was there as an official envoy from Hellquill. That the Order of Hellquill had formal diplomatic relations with Equestria is by itself farfetched after all.

Perhaps if he had, idk, been something like a harmonist back in 978 who then went into exile to Equestria after the revolution failed or something?

Feel free to think like that

I think Griffin and Griffon are both correct for the mythical creature. Griffon can refer to a breed of dog.

awesome story mate keep it up cant wait for the next story:pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

For the original mythical beast, yes. In this setting? It's Griffon in the same way you use 'Dwarves' in Tolkien's Legendarium, but 'Dwarfs' in Discworld.

"I hope some of you remember or at least know about the time (1004) when I and a couple of our comrades released the secret protocols of the Equestrian Princesses as a result of our months of espionage in Canterlot and other Equestrian cities."

"Protocols of the Princesses of Equestria"? Yikes.
