This story is a sequel to [EAW] Maar's Plan
Already busy with the ongoing Great War, Princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria has received a letter, delivered by an unholy abomination that broke into her room through her window. The letter was supposedly from Wingfried von Katerinburg, the 'Führer' of Hellquill, who proclaimed to her that his genocide against all ponies in Griffonia was imminent, and the only way for her to save them was to come to Hellquill and negotiate a settlement personally.
And as the news of the massacres started coming out of Hellquill itself, Twilight knew she had to rush. Unsure how to negotiate, she soon would know there's more to Wingfried's actions than what meets the eye.

Thanks Stalin
Nice story! I liked the tension in their meeting, and the dystopian future was really well flushed out.
Also bonus points for making Wingfried a bit more nuanced that simply "evil bird that kills ponies". Every genocidal dictator that ever lived was convinced they were doing the right thing for the greater good. Wingfried knowing about Daybreaker's approaching madness gives his character some more depth and helps explain why he's so extreme in his views.

Did you just forget von Katerinburg is literally Maar? I mean he is a frikkin GOD, and you are saying he is character with "Depth"!?

Thanks a lot, I tried to make it look convincing as possible. But in this timeline I am creating, that's exactly how Twilight was supposed to see Wingfried.
Read only this one and you'll understand:

And yet you are sending volunteers to the Changelings?
How about sending them to Equestria instead and prevent the whole thing from happening in the first place?
Maybe bring the cube to Chrysalis and let her have a look on how things will go if she continues her madness.
She might be convinced to settle with the parts of Equestria she had already conquered instead trying to take all of it. That may stop her from emerging.

To be fair the thunder was quite spooky.
Spooky enough to forget who you are for a moment.

remember, his country is still anti-ponies, and he doesn't have all power. If he does that he can get killed by one of his crazy Followers
so rather than helping Equestria, he hopes the changeling was strong enough to defeat her before she too powerful

I thought he might try to convince the other griffs to b less anti-pony.
Maybe pointing out insect-ponies are way more dangerous that pastel-ponies, and once the insect-ponies take over they will come for the griffs next.
Also, by aiding the changelings in taking Canterlot he would only speed up the events leading to Celestia's ascension/descension, maybe even causing it in the first place.
Very good story! I liked it a lot, my only issue with it is that Twilight is very out of character, but the story is just so damn good that I can get past that.

Thanks for the compliment.
And yes you're probably right but I never watched the show and all my knowledge of her comes from wiki entries, so...
Also I thought arriving in a genocidal country that specializes in massacring your kind would shape your attitude a bit but idk
