The fact that not even 24 hours after entering ponyville that there's a mare down to fuck is pretty sus in itself which added to the fact they barely got past first name basis.
Plus even Zecora causally dropped 'stallions MUST breed all that he can in or outside of a clan in chapter 2.
unless stated, going to assume there are desperate mares out there that kidnap lone stallions for reasons.
