Considering the rpm of the Mark I and II's, bayonet training would be necessary. At the right distance, a rush of 20-50 people would overrun a line of low fire rate weapons.
I suppose that is also why The Great War was so costly, they realized too late that charging machine guns with bayonets wouldn't work the same. But thankfully that type of technology is still a ways off for the Griffons.
...right?
Same...though I wish I could. It takes some smarts to constantly rhythms sentences that still make sense to the conversation.

Just a little misspellings I saw, thought I would give a heads-up.
He has a pretty good start for it, even if it is a little rocky.
Is the yellow coated pegasus with a purple mane a pony from the show or an OC?
Zecora is not an easy chacrater* to write, that's for sure,

her name is Indigo Parasol and yes, she is a show-pone, static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/7/7d/Parasol_ID_S1E8.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/360?cb=20130126232808 :),

Actually colouring is the British spelling of that word, thus corect
If you want lessons in rhyming hit me up, I know some types that might work, even with Zecora

...We both speak English... but spell things slightly different...
Why? Why can't we just stick to one spelling?!
10964512
Because the American way is simplified
Damn, quite the development in this chapter...
Not sure what to say about Jack's development.
However, I am curious about the new changeling. Makes me wonder if there are other hives fully integrated with the equestrian population, that now have to deal with the matter their species have been revealed.
So demonic body... Nice
Sad but that his life now ¯\_(-_-)_/¯

Ok, good to know.

it's because postage
back in the colonial days when writing letters every individual letter in a word counted so the Colonists in the 13 colonies cut out some letters to make Postage Cheaper

your welcome, :)
That went from 0 to 1000 quickly o.O
Good thing the kill-count advances even when he's using guns!
He says it's a good thing that Rainbow wasn't with him... But honestly, Rainbow's presence COULD have calmed Zecora somewhat. I mean, he WAS walking in with a weapon on his chest. Either way, he got a good outcome... If a bit of property damage atop that.
There is another possibility that is even worse than his human body simply becoming dead meat and there is nothing for him to return to--that the spirit of the summoned demon ended up going into Jack's body, and has starting doing its shit using his corpse!
Might not be such a good idea to even want to go back at this point!
"Warning: summoned Ishologu may or may not end up in targeted vessel; summoned Ishologu may or may not follow orders of summoner; summoned Ishologu may or may not have its own agenda; summoned Ishologu may or may not strike down your enemies; summoned Ishologu may or may not strike down your friends; summoned Ishologu may or may not strike down innocents who are not even involved with conflicts summoner may or may not have with anyone; summoned Ishologu may or may not be able to be dispelled; summoned Ishologu may or may not destroy the world to which it is sent. Suggest that any potential summoner use with caution."
Likely, the shaman didn't read through the entire spell before deciding to use it. Like Strange said, it's rather stupid that the warnings come after the writeup for the spells.

I know after that post I made, the Author went back and rewrote the story a bit to help flush out the conflict more, and I haven't had the time to read the new version and don't remember much about the story other than what I read in my post and your response, but I can respond based on my beliefs.
In the original writing, this actually wasn't obvious. If I remember, and it was the reason for my post, the conflict comes out of no where. As I wrote at the bottom of that post:
As seen in what I wrote and what I remember, if there was Conflict it would have shown. For one thing, they wouldn't have been at a Griffon Outpost, but most likely a Pony one, with hints that Griffons nearby cause a lot of trouble and maybe attack ponies in the area and to be careful. Or if at the Griffon outpost, shown a bit of the conflict in their back and forth conversations and actions, but nothing happened or was shown. Originally anyways, don't know if that had changed now.
And
I was asking, for context to where such weapons came from. Imagine a story, set in the knights era, the 1300s and suddenly one country stopped using swords and were using AK-47s. Without explanations. It's like, 'What the fuck? How did they figure out how to make Automatic Firearms in that time! It makes no sense!'. It's the same situation here.
Dynamite, and Explosives, were originally invented as a way to clear an area faster, and destroy a building faster. It takes time to cave in a roof, knock out walls, and destroy the support beams. So people went looking for a much more secure way, and created Gunpowder originally for recreational uses, long before it was used for war and fighting.
People don't understand that while 'BlackPowder', aka gunpowder has existed a long time, BOMBS were only invented in like, the last 200 years. Grenades didn't exist till World War 1, and was very primative metal balls with a hole cut in to fill with Gunpowder and a short fuse. And most of the time either the Bomb didn't go off, or went off too early and killed the person trying to throw it and anyone near him. It wasn't till World War 2 where Genades were much more common and standard, as it was a very useful tool to quickly and safely kill people in Trenches and Foxholes, as they were very small areas filled with many enemies that can safely be cleared out without popping out yourself and getting shot and losing people.
Before that, Gunpowder was exclusively for Cannons, Clearing Caveins, and Demolishing big buildings. 'Bombs' where not something just thought about and invented overnight. It literally took THOUSANDS of years to go from commersial Cave Ins clearing and Building Demolishing, to Cannons, to Gunpowder Guns, to finally Grenades and then actual Bombs.
The Griffons, originally in this story, had skipped ALL of that history, and what lead to those discoveries, such as the Science, Chemistry, Alchemy, Wars, and so on, and just skipped right to Bomb making. And not even simple basic bomb making, but suicide and DIGITAL Electric bomb making if I remember this story right, something invented only in the last like 50-60 years.
I just wanted the author to try and explain away how the Griffons learned this Tech, and Why. Don't need to go into high detail of the history, but to at least give some kinda believable explanation for how it exists.

Either way, that post was made 10 Months ago, and the Author had mentioned reworking on the story specifically because of that post and took it to heart and tried to rewrite the story to be more better, if I remember. Which is amazing, as most Authors just tell me to fuck off and ban me from commenting, lol.
I still have the story saved, and see it every time it gets a new chapter, but still haven't gotten around to reading it since the rework of the story, so the story is probably much better and in a much better place than when I wrote that. I'll get around to reading it eventually when I have the time, but for now, I hope helps you understand why I originally made that post, and my original problems that probably no longer exist anymore in the new version of the story.
Gl with dat vac
Good job. Thank you for the update.
I did not expect that, not at all
Better than being stuck in a normal body I guess.
Just as poisons don't work on him medication will not work on him as well. The difference between poison and medication is often the administered mass.
So will Rainbowdash and Jack's offspring be overpowered from a young age?
