ALRIGHT!!! WOO-HOO!!! SHE LIVES!!!

Glad to see a new chapter's been posted! I was getting worried this wouldn't continue.

Good to see this again!

IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIVE!

"We should at least try. Everyone deserves a second chance, at least that's what I heard."

Indeed, the RAPIST saying that they deserve a second chance. Selfish much? My bio should tell you all you need.

'You don't forgive someone because they need it, you forgive someone because You need it.'

The rapist is demanding forgiveness. It's like a murderer in prison demanding an apology from his victim who bashed him across the head and escaped.

He. Doesn't. Need. Anything.

What he needs is anxiety therapy and to never let go of that paranoia. Keep it contained, enough that you can live normally but that it also proves useful as a tool against the same thing occurring. Of course, the fear will never go away, but, it's a lot better than being forced to forgive someone who committed unspeakable acts to you, acts that, for even talking about, you'd get ridiculed for 'allowing' to happen to you.

So your saying I shouldn't keep going with what I have planned with this story?:rainbowhuh:

Wait. What? I was expressing my opinions on the whole concept and that little 'flaw' in their reasoning.

You can do as you like with the story, once you make the progression seem NATURAL, I'll give you gold stars till kingdom come.

But.

If it heads in a direction that seems either forced to all hell, unnatural, or illogical to some extreme, then I'll just slap the whole thing into one of my lesser folders and review all the flaws in one go.

I'm not sayin' don't go forgiveness route, I'm sayin' do it right, and make it seem like he actually wants to forgive then, instead of the Rainbooms and everyone else pressuring him to do just that. That'll seem kinda arseholish of 'em all.

Could still happen though, it'd give some real insight on how self righteous the Rainbooms are and how extreme they are in beliefs(If ya want to show them in this light' a course. I don't know what 'cha thinkin')

Point is. I got no problems where you take ya sorry, unless it crashes and burns cause'a said direction. Have fun writin' though.

Also, lemme askya sum sum, if ya got raped an' that rapist sauntered upta' ya an' demanded an apology, how the fuck'd you react?

Finally another chapter! Let's hope the next one gets finished more quickly than this one

'I really hope things will go well. I really hope he'll forgive me.'

Uh, that's easier said than done.

I am looking forward to what happens next. I like how this story is going, it's nice to see some straightforward remorse from the victimizer and understandable fear and paranoia from the victim. I also think that some in the comments might be jumping the gun on their take on things (10103371 and 10107809 specifically, the two of you are welcome to show me I'm wrong, as I very well could be...), as the story has only just started, and I've seen too many examples of people trying to direct a story from the early points putting too much pressure on the writer and/or the characters. Adagio wants forgiveness because she genuinely feels bad about what she did, and is clearly scared she's broken him beyond repair, and wants to show that. She is being a bit forward, but it is out of good intentions and concerns (not that that excuses any harm that has been done or might happen later), and not for just herself. I personally don't go in for forgiveness period, as I think what often people consider to be forgiveness is not as simple or straightforward as they think it is, but your questioning of it is a bit harsh in my book considering this is only the beginning and we have no idea how this will play out yet...and it makes you seem like you're just saying the story's concept is garbage, as Stallion-net already pointed out.

Also, I'm glad we see things similarly StarGhoul. As you said yourself though, we haven't seen all of Adagio's side of this yet, so jumping to looking at her harshly at this early date could stunt a later expression of her character.

Anon has every right to not want to see Adagio ever again if he wants/needs to, but Adagio should also have the right to get that from him in some respect, in a proper communication, otherwise Adagio will likely never get over her guilt, and we'll just have two people unable to move on from what she did, and nothing truly accomplished, and that would make for a terrible story.

Anon needs to at least find some way of confronting what happened to him, or he'll never get past that night. Of course, realistically at least, working things through with Adagio, should the story go that route, will not magically end all that she put him through, but it would be one method. Time is also something he needs, in order to get some distance from it, but he also needs to make that clear to others. He is in a vulnerable state, and my hope is that others recognize that before they make a mistake and make it worse.

Essentially, my point is this. Something needs to be done, one way or another, for both of their sakes', because Adagio is a better person, and deserves reassurance and support as much as Anon does, so they need to find a way to make that work for the both of them when it comes to their positions regarding each other, that being "reformed rapist" to be blunt, for Adagio, and "rape victim" for Anon.

I of course, think redemption/forgiveness is realistically not always possible or even healthy in every case, but this is fiction, and the potential for what could be or even cannot be in real life is what it is all about.

That, and I have seen way too much from people lately whenever any fictions I've followed that handle grayer or softer takes on hard and painful issues get treated like trash just on that alone, with people screaming that people who do wrong can never deserve anything but hatred and rejection, which I find extremely close-minded and unhelpful. Life is about change, and often not being what we expect or want, in my experience, and clinging to notions rigidly is often very dangerous.

I think I got a bit rant-ey hear, but I've made my point...I think...

Pretty good fic I like it alot so far, hope to see more of it soon.

Please make more. I haven't found many Anon x Adagio stories like this one.

Please make another charter of this story i would love to see where this is All going
