She then decides she must learn about the newest generation. This time, that mean's taking a night on the town. In Ponyville. With Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and Starlight Glimmer. You can obviously tell this will end well. And that I've spent too much time on the weird side of FiMFiction.

Nah, it's not a problem, I was just pointing out how it reminded me of that story. If this was inspired by that one then you probably should write that somewhere (though you should ask the author's opinion on that, maybe it's not a problem at all as things are), but if it's just a coincidence then it's just that, an interesting coincidence.

I've looked into that story and that is a coincidence if I have ever known one. It was by accident, which makes it kind of... strange. It's fine though, hopefully. Just meant to be a funny comedy about Celestia though.
