Just saw the newest chapter title and I absolutely love it!! Don't worry Twilight, we all hate that library as well.
Right from the chapter title, I was amused.
You should definitely add some more about Equestria in the next chapter. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from them.
As a true Bibliophile and Halo saga player I can say with utmost conviction I HATE THAT BUCKING LIBRARY!
Also, with such a cliffhanger I think you should continue Two Betrayals then Equestria but eh that's just me!
Poor Twilight, can't see a library without books
That level always seemed to go on forever.

Ok!
Thanks for the info.
The fact that this happens in the game irks me, the fact that the MC is so trusting of the Monitor. “Hello, I’m an AI with no ulterior motive calling you by a title you’ve never heard in an installation built by an unknown long-dead alien civilisation that exists upon a giant ring built by the same civilisation that also holds another dangerous alien race called the Flood. You must help me get something called the Index so that I can totally not kill all sentient life in the galaxy and definitely help you stop the Flood by activating defences that, again, won’t kill all sentient life in the galaxy,”
From the way he speaks and acts to the fact that questions are never asked and never fully answered. The fact that he leads you through long winding passages and doors full of Flood while the Sentinels that he said would help repeatedly don’t help. Honestly it’s a case of extreme stupidity and misplaced trust.
In this story, can’t even blame Twilight for it, she’s following MC’s lead and she’s still a trusting pony.

I honestly view it as almost a very basic form of enemy of my enemy is my friend, plus the Chief knows nothing of the Flood except that it is everywhere. If something came to me with a potential solution if I were in his shoes, I probably would do the same. Plus Spark teleported him there, so he is the only way the Chief can get out of the Library. But that's how I view it.
Edit: All ponies are trusting ponies, if I'm being honest. That's all fine and dandy for the show, but then something misguided comes around and then they are tricked all the time. *Cough* Cozy Glow *Cough*
I'm good with either choice. Bring on the next AWESOME chapter!
Twilight.exe is not responding
Hmmm .... you could always do a 1k or 2k word see what's happening then break off back to chief and twilight for another few k words.
I find that since you concluded that there could be no help coming from eqestria and that the princess were unable to make any progress it would be more prominent to continue with twilight until there would be a notable event that might affect eqestria, the princess, or twi's friends

But I mean, the problem is that he's a trained special military person, as well as that it's common sense not to trust something you know nothing about, especially if it's suspicious af. The fact that he never gets answers is just icing on the cake. It's a display of stupidity.
That's what I meant, Twilight hasn't lost all of her innocence and is still a trusting pony.
Maybe a short break in Equestria before continuing the main story.
Yes, but do you know how insane it is?
Ahem.
Fuck you.
I haven’t played Halo, but I think I’ve seen enough. Anyone know where I can join the “Guilty Spark can piss off and die” club?

Well, yeah. But than again this is Sergeant Major Avery Junior blow-the-hell- out-of-your-alien-ass Johnson we're talking here.

Can you wait for 3 more games? He dies eventually in cannon

Not immune, his nervous system is just so altered the flood percieves his as a corpse that can't be taken over. Given enough time the flood would realize that and infect him regardless. I believe this was brought up in Halo: First Strike
9682981
I think its altered in a way that the flood sees it but knows infecting him would take a rather long time.
I think these threats alone would send chief in a cold rage.
Continue with twi and chief
More plez

Sergeant Avery Johnson was a part of Project Orion, a super soldier program that predated the Spartan II program, which was later informally referred to as the Spartan I program.

He's not talking about chief "you uncultured swine".
I've read through this like twice now and I still get all tingley inside just thinking about reading the next chapter.
An Hoorah for the ultimate Marine.

Both still can git influence
I hate that guy. Spark you overgrown backstabbing circuit brain! I'll enjoy watching Chief destroy you in the Halo 3 arc! Then let's see how you like it to be destroyed!
Ggfgggfgfgffggfgffffffggf
You and me both Twilight. (Flash backs to the numerous times restarting the level on easy mode)
This just makes me believe 100% that the ponies are related to the precursors since they also could mainpulate neural physics.
Maybe ponies are descendants of the precursors or were made by them?
Also i heard somewhere about a theory that states that if the flood were to continue evolving, their final evolution would be that of a precursor, thus making sense of the fact that they contain 'pure mana' since it would be required for practicing neural physics.
