Fiction written by Sketch and Night Wisp!

(This story starts with before the events of Season 6 and 7, and continues through.)

Several months after the Battle for Canterlot went bad, one of the top changeling infiltrators goes missing. Nobody seems to know where they went or why... At least that's what it seemed like, until I discovered a single scroll hidden in his quarters...

For one changeling, this starts off a huge adventure throughout the entire hive, dodging the elite guards while trying to unravel the mysterious clues that point to a chance of... rebellion? Or something more? The race is on to find the clues, decipher the codes and find the truth behind his disappearance.

By the description alone, this is an interesting concept. I'll keep an eye on this one.

I'm glad! There's going to be more to come soon~

Was that supposed to be a challenge? Easy stuff right there, I simply decoded using my usual methods, then got this from the cipher text:

IGNORE HYPHENS LINE TWO SEVENTH WORD LINE TWO THIRTEENTH WORD LINE THREE SECOND WORD LINE FIVE FOURTEENTH WORD MINUS LINE TWELVE EIGHTH WORD LINE EIGHTEEN TWELFTH WORD LINE NINETEEN SECOND WORD PLUS LAST LETTER OF FIRST WORD LINE TWENTY THREE FOURTEENTH WORD LINE TWENTY THREE FIFTEENTH WORD

Way too lazy to follow instructions on this right now, might do it later.

Did the cypher, took a little while but i think i'm right.

I noted down the frequency of each word (only did like half because it took so long), and compared them to the most frequently used letters in English. (though given that i now know what the message says this method wasn't as reliable as it would normally be do decode normal sentences.) I then chucked my values into the encoded word "mjof" (since it was in every line other than the first), and got the word "line". This was when i knew i got it right as it is a proper word and would make sense for such a code to say. I also learnt from this that the code was simply shifting every letter forward one space.

So after going through each letter, and managed to decode the message and got: the dead quarters that twilight is ore next clue.

That would be "the dead quarters at twilight is yor next clue".
But still, nice enough trick! Not everyone has to know what a substitution cypher is, much less that you can break it via letter frequency analysis.

Well, lets hope my gravity falls knowledge helps here, with its A1Z26, reverse alphabet and Cesar ciphers i should be able to do some of the basic codes
As for this one, seems people already got it but maybe i can figure out what it means
dead quarters miight mean where they keep dead bodies, witch makes sense as with so many creatures, we're bound to have some die, at twilight probably means when to go there, so lighting could play into finding the next clue

Ehehe, well, no, actually. Remember, Strider is using simple ciphers to start off, and he'll make them more complex as they find more clues.

yeahhhh I know, sorry guys. =< I'm still learning ciphers and codes so that I can make this story more interesting.

That's already great news!
Slow updates > no updates =)

And then it was never seen again
