Sometimes silly stories are just that, silly stories to keep silly foals entertained and away from places and things of certain fragility or importance.
So was the story Rarity told the CMC to keep them off from her basement, and Scootaloo was up to prove once and for all she was right about it, there was no such a thing as a monster downstairs.

This one shot is situated around season 6.

To be blunt: A one-shot is just one installment and nothing more As for the tagging, perhaps adding the Random tag would help here along with Comedy. You gotta make sure you know what the readers are getting into. Moreso, it helps to add more exposition to the story, especially at the introduction.

And going by the explanation of your cover page, you cannot mention Starlight Glimmer if this story takes place during Season 2.

“Actually, is a bet. Of course, if yer not too scared to do so. Ah wouldn’t be surprised if ya’ll chickened out on it” giggled Applebloom, trying to lure Scootaloo into actually looking for the dreaded creature.

Regarding the one shot thing which you laugh at me for, well, if you were a bit more curious about an old friend of yours you would have noticed this is sort of a prequel to something I wrote some time ago. Hence why I say this is a one shot and even if there's an obvious room for a continuation and the bridge to what would come afterwards is there, I have no intention on finishing the idea.
