Not Flash Sentry, his character is so transparent and bland, that it doesn't motivate a ship. Not that shipping needs reason, it just isn't a well liked ship. No matter what everyone says, it just doesn't make sense. They have no spark that I can see, his storyline is happily in an AU. Let me live that delusion, please. I can't stand EG being canon. Where he has more in common with Sunset Shimmer (EG:EF).
Then again, I don't do shipping really, so I have no dog in the fight. Shipping isn't canon, it won't become next weeks episode. It's all personal preference. If you like it, cool for you. Just, in a story driven plot based sense, he really isn't an ideal ship with any of the actual ponies. And, I don't entirely see him hooking up with EQ Twilight, since he had a thing for horse version of her, and she left, and the Twilight doesn't know him... Real cringy.
I both make a joke, and offer my pity for the neg votes you'll get from shipping him. The rest of the votes, I can't say. Might be all the shipping being done, too much of it? The off tags, something else? Sometimes you take a chance, and sometimes it works, this might not be one of those times. Hard to say when some negs are for making a shipfic alone. It's the internet, cold hard place most days.
