I've been writing fanfic for decades and just came to MLP about 7 seasons late. I love writing but I'm always nervous posting.

After the events in the movie, Twilight still isn't sure about her actions. Feeling too many emotions she's not prepared to deal with, she searches through the library books to find an answer. When her friends make mistakes, she always forgives them. So why is forgiving herself any different? Starlight gives some advice.

Is it possible for you to make a sequel where twilight talk to the others who also admits they're mistakes.

Ack, I'm still getting the hang of this site. Let me try this again.

I think there is no doubt her friends definitely made some big mistakes here and in the past. Since this story was about Twilight's problem with herself, I had to minimize that. I did at least try to hint at the fact she recognized their mistakes and was still bottling some anger in that regard.

I would be open to writing a sequel to this when I get a chance especially since I know someone is interested. Thanks.

Nice story

I dislike the movie slightly less now

I'm still kind of mad at Twilight for what she did, but I also understand why she did it after doing some thinking.

Yes, I am still mad at her, too. I gasped when I realized what she was going to do. Writing this was part of me trying to understand her view.

I take my Favorites list rather more seriously than most and I debated for several minutes about whether to add this story to my Favorites or just Thumbs Up bookshelf. I decided on the former just barely.

This story is an excellent look at Twilight's point of view in the film, presents a realistic emotional and behavioral reaction from her character, and uses Starlight well as a sounding board for her thoughts while giving Starlight a chance to be a good friend.

My only qualm is that the story drags on a bit longer than I think it needs to; it becomes repetitive. Her final revelation about her outburst toward Pinkie doesn't add much to me, and seems to be mostly a rehash of the previous sections. Yes, it is a more personal problem, but you had made Twilight's large scale concerns feel personal before that. And the conclusion is rather abrupt, albeit reasonably realistic.

However I enjoyed the details of the story quite a bit. The hot chocolate giving, Twilight talking to herself (sometimes not even realizing it), and how you have her magic quality line up with her mood add a unique color that, to me, makes this more than just a like-worthy story.

Well done on your first MLP fanfic!

Seems people still ignore the fact that Starlight didn't steal a villages cutie marks. They all gave the up willingly. The only marks stolen were the Mane 6's.

Yeah I noticed that too, the villagers even said that so it’s clear Starlight meant well.

Just wanna say Twilight was completely justified in stealing the pearl as Novo was being a gigantic coward, and her friends were being incompetent idiots.

Well okay she wasn’t exactly in the right but from what’s been happpening I can’t blame her.
