Starlight's Time Trial

Starlight went a little too far when she traveled through time for revenge, but she had no idea it was a dangerous crime. Starlight ended up getting arrested by the Quantum Order, an organization that arrests time-traveling criminals. After getting booked, Starlight is assigned one lawyer to help her in the trial. Starlight has one shot to clear her name in court. If Starlight is found guilty, she will face a deadly punishment.

Well I'm interested to see where this goes. Hopefully they let the bitch rot. As far as I'm concerned, she's nothing more than Sunset Shimmer if Sunset Shimmer were a terrible character. I sure as hell wouldn't forgive her.

Let's recap: She started a anti-Cutie Marks cult, forced her 4chan-style "NYAAAH! Everyone shouldn't be better than me!" philosophy onto others, stole the Mane Six's cutie marks along with their identities, held them hostage, tried to indoctrinate them until they agreed with her dumb philosophy, stalked Twilight for Celestia-knows-how-long to conjure up a revenge scheme, broke into her home (which should really have some guards by now), tried to destroy time itself without even considering the consequences, created several alternate timelines where Equestria suffers horrible futures where Twilight doesn't know which of her friends are alive and which ones aren't, and didn't give a shit when shown that her actions had caused all these futures including one where everyone and everything in Equestria is dead because of her. And all because a friend moved away and she somehow made it to adulthood still bitter about it.

I'm pretty sure that warrants jail time or a death sentence. It doesn't matter if "she didn't know", that doesn't change the fact she still did it.

If there's one thing I despise, it's the knocking-you-over-the-head message that "everyone deserves a second chance". Because no, not everyone deserves a second chance. You have to EARN that second chance. Discord and Sunset Shimmer didn't simply say "I'm sorry" and receive an "aww, it's okay, let's be friends and pretend you were never evil in the first place" in return. They didn't gain everyone's trust instantly or have forgiveness handed to them on a silver platter. They both had to EARN their redemption through time. And as far as I'm concerned, Starlight has done nothing to earn that second chance.

7411411 Another hate on Starlight glimmer fic, we get it some folks dislike her for a number of reasons just like Celestia and every other character that did not meet their expectations but by the stars above get over it and try think of ways to improve on broken characters not abuse them.
