The homeworld is gone. A lone guardian must undertake a journey across the cosmos to secure a new home for her people, no matter what the cost.

Solar Wind knew what she was getting into when she signed up, but she never could have imagined that the greatest enemy she would face would not be the fleets of her enemies nor the wilds of open space, but the being confronted with her own mortality.

This is a beautiful story. I really loved it.

Finally got around to read this story. It was a great story, I loved Sci-Fi ponies and it is a shame that their aren't that many of them around to read. I always loved the idea of seed ships and I think it is a fantastic idea for interstellar colonization, and I love the debate that goes around of the ethical question it would raze about how the children should be razed, should their be caretakers or programmed the basic survival skill to create a communality and be prepared to create a civilizational on their own from the ground up. I think the them was interesting, and it raze the question about the the insanity of the escalation hostilities on other nations, war propaganda and show that in the end we are all the same . I am not clear if Solar Wind saved or no the embryos of the derelict ship that she fond in the early day of her voyage.

7003165 Thanks. I appreciated the time you took to read my story.

The eggs on the derelict ship were already gone when she found it zo no, she did not save them.

Good shit man.

It's damn near impossible to find good scifi on this site, good to know some people are still writing it!

I hope my scifi that I am slowly writing can achieve this level of writing. I have other responsibilities but it's going to be a good one if I have anything to do with it. I think it will get a decent amount of attention when I post it. Let's hope I get a good first impression.

This was beautiful. A magnificent story, it brought tears to my eyes :pinkiesad2: you get my upvote and my favourite.

This deserves a lot more attention then it has received since 2016. I've read similar stories on the nature of war and the grim irony so I can't say the story surprised me but it still did it wonderfully. :fluttercry:
