De Writer

After a long dry spell, De Writer has sort of returned. I am now writing again. Watch this space for more new tales and more chapters of the latest

In the AU of Thomas the Writer, a small problem has come up. Thomas' friend the old blue unicorn mage, De Writer, has given Thomas' daughter Dashie an educational toy.
De Writer's idea of an Educational Toy is a WHAT?
Just something that De Writer picked up during his Inter-dimensional travels. He used it to get one of the teas that he is infamous for.
Thomas was not thrilled by the toy. It has become unaccountably damaged.
Dashie has brought it back for De Writer to fix.

it the weird dialogue is intentional? I sound like you are not a native English speaker at times. I am a little confused about what happened in the story, it feels either they are talking about a tank but it feels nebulousness at times.

The weird dialog is absolutely intentional.
The tale is set in an MLP universe created by Uncle, of the tumbler blog Ask the Chan Family. That blog began as a Jackie Chan fan blog and the writer (Uncle) is Chinese. The dialect stems from that.
They absolutely are talking about a Russian T84 main battle tank.
There is a long standing running gag between Uncle and I. In his AU, I am cast as the unicorn De Writer, a very powerful and eccentric wizard.
De Writer fairly constantly searchs for unique teas. He gifts them to Uncle. Uncle then replies with short tales about the problems caused by the bizarre teas.
The remote controlled T84 was used to get one of the teas out of Red China.
De Writer then gave the (slightly safetied) tank to Uncle's daughter Dashie. It became a favorite toy of hers and has caused much trouble for Uncle and those close to him.
Uncle is also a very powerful wizard. He cast a spell on the tank to put a knot in the barrel of the main gun.
De Writer explains to Uncle all that Dashie learned from both use and misuse of the tank and has Uncle undo the spell.
