The first thing I thought when I read the title was the Spanish American war.

It seems that twilight is having a tough time of making the decision of attacking the griffons or risking losing more ponies. I hope she makes the right choice.

So two goddesses just surrendered without a fight?
I'd expect them to have the power to stall an army at least. (And yeah, I'm with Celestia. I wouldn't be happy to see my sister getting friendly with the creatures that are slaughtering your people.) Or try to escape. As they even said, they've faced worse before.

Updates have been slow. To be honest I'm trying to think of where to bring the story next, along with working on another story.
