5695634 well he IS based on my favorite racer, Jeff Gordon, though I don't know if you plan to actually use Jeff at all. But Checkered is normally a friend in the garage area others can talk to or he can give racing advice to Applejack, or her team owner.
5695659 2 things. 1. Jeff Gordon is my all time favorite driver and 2. Since this is basically a cross over with the humans and ponies the actual Jeff Gordon will be used in the story. Here's an idea, how bout your OC be a part of Applejacks pit crew? So he's with her all the time at every race?

As for the track, technically the track we see today wasn't built until the late 1950s. From 1948 until the first Daytona 500, the racers raced on the actual beach

I know this is your story, but I think her number should be 25, 84, 94 or 96. 25 because that's a Hendrick number, 84 is the reversal of 48 for Jimmie, 94 is the same year Jeff won his first two Cup Races and 96 is double of 48 and quadruple of 24, kind of like the reason they gave Jimmie the 48.

Sorry everypony, usually by now I would have had chapter 5 uploaded for you all to enjoy but I've had a bit of a busy day. I actually just got back from playing football (or in our universe hoofball) with some friends of mine. But rest assured I will defiantly have chapter 5 uploaded by midnight tonight, unless Princess Luna throws me a curve ball I should be fine.
Also chapter 6 will not be uploaded tomorrow due to the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. So to make up for it I will be posting both chapter 6 and chapter 7 on Monday.

Dale is my 2nd favorite driver after Gordon and ahead of my 3rd favorite in the #78 of Martin Truex Jr. But what's that whole thing about Vinyl and Harvick?
