First one, OK the parent can be a little uper class but this is not they are not noble in the middle age! They can't act like that, thas ridiculous! They can take the other for less than them but the line " you are not our equal "come way to early! If they act like than with everybody than aren't rich, they couldn't even live in a city! They would go out wih then body guards and limo and never speak with the others. It's easy to thnk you are better that others but you can't just go and say it up front because it's prison for you! Subtility is the word. Here they just come, insult them and punch a girl! They may be up their ass but there is laws! At least explain way they don't care of it.
5631708 Thank you very much for the help there! The way I saw it, I felt that his parents would see themselves as better than most anybody, even if they weren't nobility. They look down on anyone who cannot help them advance in society, and Dash and Vinyl cannot help them, so to the Melody's, they're useless. As for mister Melody hitting Vinyl, she did try to attack him first, so he was defending himself. He had a right to defend himself. And they did leave when Dash told them to, so they don't consider themselves above the law necessarily. They just consider themselves above those they see as useless. Though maybe you do have a point in your argument that you presented; I think I may tone them down slightly in future installments. I'm not quite sure yet. I was mostly experimenting with writing unlikable characters. Again, thank you very much for your thoughts on this. I appreciate it very much!

5633302 I understand where you're coming from, and as I stated earlier, this was kind of an experiment; in future chapters they'll be slightly different, but not so much so that they're different characters. I really appreciate the comment, though, and the fact that you're willing to provide feedback like this. I feel it helps me out as a writer to provide better content to you readers. So thank you, and I'll certainly bear that in mind going forward. Also something to consider would be how cruel the rest of her sentence was. She had lost her patience with Dash, and stated earlier that she saw Dash as useless to both her and Octavius; being seen as useless, why would missus Melody waste her time being nice to the other woman? Dash was nothing to her, so she treated her like dirt.

Wow, it took me all the morning but I couldn't let go your story since I've started it. I really enjoy it and can't wait to read more. Now as for Oactavius' parents, I've read the previous comments and understand what you wanted to do... And you did well I hate them x) What I don't understand is why Vinyl is so mad at both Octavius and Dash (but I'm sure we will have the explanation in the next chapter ^^'). Keep up the good work

When I write these chapters, I generally have an idea of what I want to come next, so I try to set it up to happen. I'm not entirely sure how the entire story will play out, since I have quite a few endings in mind, but I think you'll all be very pleased. What Vinyls parents are huh? Maybe down to earth people but still open minded, who at first didn't accepted Vinyl's job, but since it is something she loves they don't mind anymore... (a bit of a cliché isn't it?) Well, I'm not good at speculation but I think there is something to do with her reaction.

Maybe the polar opposite of Octavius' parents. Style not very happy about the carachter of these two but if you give a backstory that explain this noble attitude. Who know, you could plan a battle between the parents ^, the nobles Vs the oppen minded.
