The cutie mark is like a ticket for one's own life, blank from birth but with limitless potential. For the vast majority, this means a destination and a destiny, affluence and aspiration.
For an unfortunate few, however, it is a condemnation, a ticket to nowhere. A notarized promise that they will never amount to anything more than a common laborer or a petty criminal or a lowly servant.
And what if a pony's special talent is robbing banks, or rape? Could they live a normal life, with the promises of terrible acts emblazoned on their flanks for all to see?
Firebrand is a pony with an unusual special talent: starting fires.
Really bad cover art by me.

I wouldn't recommend deleting comments in future, mate, it sets a bad precedent.

Ah, okay, sorry for the confusion
I'd very much like to see a new chapter.

Icarbrand. Theirs that ship preparing to sail
Aaaannndddd the ship has sunk. Dang it. Well. Time to skin a pony alive and burn him.
hint hint, the father.
I like the concept of this story. It's really intriguing and (at least so far) you executed it pretty well.
I've just got to wonder though. Why did you name your character after Josh?

Noooooo. This story is completed? But I don't feel complete. I demand more!

I don't feel like writing too much anymore, unfortunately.
One of the projects on the table for release in the indefinite future, however, is an alternate-ending/sequel to this. I don't have a timetable for release or even a tentative outline yet, but it's something I am (or was?) planning

Nah, but you can do whatever you want. As an amateur writer, I know that sometimes you've got to leave a story behind, lest you lose your passion for writing overall.
