As you could perhaps have inferred (and which I may well have stated outright in the past—my memory is pretty poor), the concept behind this story was sinfulness innate in one's personality, exacerbated by an exterior force. In simpler terms, an entity that brings out the worst in people (ponies).

As the credits roll, I wonder if the things I have just seen were even real. Surely these abominations could only have been the byproducts of an overactive, cynical imagination, and not the fruits of actual labor from actual humans, making what they thought would be a fantastic episode of a fantastic show. I haven't written anything of note in something like 6 weeks. I don't really have an excuse for this. I just haven't really been feeling it. I really want to write, but I've been blocking hard. I've had several neat ideas for things to write—most of them pone—but nothing has happened on that front. I probably won't be able to write much over the next couple of weeks, as I'll be working on moving, but after that... we'll see.

Seeing how well HkdS went over, I think I'm going to stick to the short format more often. I still have three major long-form fics that I'm working on: Impurity, which is what I've been working on lately; A Greater Cause, which has finally begun to take shape, however rudimentary; and Saligia, which kinda fell by the wayside. I hope to continue writing Saligia by maybe this summer; I want to get out a chapter each for both AGC and Impurity.

Computer is fine somehow. It's running weird, but it runs.

So that story I mentioned? It is up now. It's a short little one-off vaguely inspired by JazzTeeth's End of the Universe stories. It was an impulsive write, maybe like 4 hours working time over a week. If there's any repeated lines or ideas (that aren't clearly anaphora) then that is why.

I also just realized that there are now fewer than 2 other stories with the same title ("Curse of Immortality"), so I might change it.
