Just a few thoughts I had after the finale. I wish Luna had more of a role, but at least we got to see her. I supposed she was weakened during the day, and wrote this.

I do wish she had more of a roll as well, while I'm not as much of a Luna fanboy as most, I still wish to see more of her. They way you presented why she wasn't there makes sense, She is Princess of the Moon, and while my own thoughts about it (somepony is got to rest if you are on watch) maybe be diffrent I accept yours as possible canon.
But you are right, at least we got to see and hear her.

Heheh, interesting idea! That would make sense.
I figured that it's difficult for the Princesses to act outside of their domains. Celestia could do it only probably because she needed to. After the first episodes, the latest at night we've seen her is at sunset in Lesson Zero. And we saw Luna during the day once (at the end of the pilot), but that was before she regained her powers.
Well finally somepony didn't write this popular bullshit like a "Luna is dumb/useless/lazy/troll/gamer/etc".

I'm also glad we got to see Luna even if it was brief. Your story was very nice and offered a unique insight. It may not be how I view Luna, but given the circumstances of the episode it's very believable. And let's face it, I just love stories with Luna in them!
Heck I've been working on a major Luna story of my own that fellow writers and readers on here seem to really be enjoying.
