QueenOfTheSilence

Nothing to say about me really. All you need to know is I tend to fave and run....and I write crack fics.

It's not easy losing someone you care about. Celestia knows this. But this death will be like nothing she had experienced before. Before the night is over, she will have to say her hardest goodbye and it won't be even the slightest bit easy.

this was well written in my opinion. very good job though I must ask, why call Applejack, Jacqueline at the end? Nothing seemed out of context to me. keep up the good work! Sorry this comment jumped around like that

Mostly cause I like think Jack is short for Jacqueline. While her great-grandchildren don't know that she's their great-grandmother, she's silently been watching them and knows their hobbies and interests. Also, I think Celestia is the type to use formal names when in a bad mood. And watching your kid die would put you in a bad mood.

I don't think I'm too enamored of the way Celestia broke the news of relations to Applejack. Seems downright petty on Celestia's part to have Big Mac keep quiet about it and then use it to shatter their indignation afterwards.

Another thing: I doubt that's Celestia's only child in all that time. Is it because her grief is ephemeral that her wants and will surpasses the mortals'?

Alicorns are created by another is something that you brought forth and now that is troubling in this worldview*. Can only Celestia make an alicorn? Did she create Luna and Cadence? If Celestia can create alicorns, I'm under the impression that she would make Ambrosia an alicorn whether she wanted it or not and have her learn to accept it.

*My headcanon in this area is that alicorns ascend on their own, but that Twilight got a push from Celestia.

4894165 Eh it was quick one shot. Besides, I was trying to portray her as a mother. What mother would force her child to become something she's does not want? Celestia is not one to force anything on anyone. Yes she did turn Twilight into an alicorn, but I suspect if Twilight really didn't want it and protested it, she would have turned her back. Besides given that an article with the creators, we have no idea if Twilight is merely a mortal alicorn or an immortal because it was said that Twilight would not outlive her friends. I mean Ambrosia already outlived a kid, Celestia is not going to be that cruel and force her. As for additional children, yeah I mean sure it's probable but in this fic I'm going under the assumption of Luna and Celestia vowing to not have children for this explicit reason. Of course Celestia is not one for abortion.

Also since it's never stated I believe Celestia and Luna were born or turned Alicorns another way. Twilight was created, and I think Cadence was as well in the Twilight Sparkle and Crystal Heart Spell picture book.

I have toyed with making a sequel where Celestia forcefully turns AppleJack, Blom and Macintosh all into alicorns. But I'm not sure how it would pan out.....Or one where Celestia decides to become mortal and takes over the task of raising her great-grandchildren. Something like that.

Meh, I don't think Twilight was created as much as pushed and she doesn't seem all that impressed with being an alicorn so far. I don't think she would protest ever because it's Celestia.

If Celestia is that upset at her daughter dying, I think she do it regardless of her daughter's feelings and expect her to "understand" one day. I would get into specifics about ...stuff, but I'd rather not.

I did like it, but it didn't have any impact on me other than Celestia's a *****.
