So... what happened, exactly? Nuclear bomb or something? Am I missing something? A flash, Luna guarded herself and Celestia died because she wasn't quick enough, the sun has been active for a thousand years without Celestia to move it, I get that much, but ?

That was horrifying, saddening, Depressing and hopeful at the same time. I'm impressed this is the First Grimdark story I've read and enjoyed.

Also I'm going to say the sun went super nova?
