Hmmm Articuno seemed a lot like Galbraith the Lionheart
Galbraith the Lionheart: Playable charqacter in Blood Battalion/ Game's main villian in Blood Brothers
I like the premises for the story but the chapters are really short and that's kinda killing it for me but it's a cool idea none the least
Ok, look, I really REALLY want to like this story. You have a great idea and it has three of my favorite things in it: MLPs, Pokemon & Ponyta, but you can expand so much more on this! This story could be more descriptive and you could use a proof-reader and/or an editer. Now, in saying this, I don't want you to be discouraged, just plan things out a bit more. PM me if you'd like some advice, until then keep up the great ideas!
I understand it's not the best, and I plan on making better stories. The sequel to this story will be about a gen. 2 pokemon. I need ideas for what pokemon to use, I want a pokemon that will be great for a story.
I've never heard of that, how are Articuno and Galbraith the Lionheart alike?

Oooh! Ponyta has a former guardian? How did the pokes end up in EQ? Why is Articuno there, why does he want to kill ponyta, how did dragonite know about all this and why did articuna kill ponytas parents? Why is there swearing in this chapter, why is the story so short and how does the portal work?
