Queen Chrysalis is tired, frustrated, and annoyed. All of her latest plans have fallen through, and she's been bested a second time by the ponies of Equestria, this time at her own doorstep! Even when she's freed to make her own plans again, Chrysalis can't seem to do anything but lay on her lavender couch and mope. How will this evil queen get her evil groove back?
Written for the Equestria Daily Flash Fiction #5 event in 2 hours 15 minutes with no significant editing except for obvious grammar and spelling.
Warning: Contains minor plot spoilers for the My Little Pony comics volume #1-#4. I've avoided this as much as possible, but I do touch on it briefly and do mention a couple of plots details.

Very nice story! I got the feeling that it takes a minion-ruler relationship as depicted in, let's say, Overlord video game or Despicable Me, and put it into changelings; we have a seemingly "evil" ruler, but it also seems there's more than meets the eye in that. Good for her!
Also, the final paragraphs brought a promise of another, hopefully bigger thing - I would be more than interested to read a light-hearted story about Chrysalis messing with domestic policy of another land. Good job!

In regards to Chrysalis messing with the Griffon Empire, I doubt I'll explore that further and keep this as a one-off, but that's mostly because I have some other ideas that have been rattling in my head for a while now. I have a romance story and an adventure story that I've starting to do some preliminary work on. Then again who knows, we'll see what the future holds! It's a fun idea that I might come back to.
