When Equestrian camera hunter Burst Rate falls off his yacht and swims to a nearby shore, the last thing he expected was to find a snippet of civilization tucked away in the middle of the forested island. Even moreso did he not expect to be forced to take part in a crazed Griffon's game in the ultimate battle of predator and prey.

Yes, this is a sort of 'rip-off' of Richard Connell's story of the same name, but I have thrown in a few fresh things of my own.

Special thanks to Richard Connell for making the great original story and to Salted Pingas for the cover image.

I'm liking the story so far. I've read the original, so I knew what was coming, but you still managed to give me the chills. I also liked your use of imagery. Given that photographers don't really know how to set traps, I'm looking forward to seeing how Burst outwits Rayford.

interesting will read:pinkiecrazy:

I'm reading Rayford's lines with Leslie Banks' voice (he played Zaroff in the 1932 film adaptation) and it sounds glorious.

Damn was this good.

Make a Predator story!

9044195 That's actually on my bucket list...

Well now that the reboot comes out soon... go for it!

9046096 Perhaps...I prefer to only have one active story at a time, but I might make an exception.

I hope you do! Good Luck

Oh, that was a clever ending! I was always a fan of the original story and this is a great adaptation. Brings lots of new ideas to the table.

9249175 Thanks! Figured the story could benefit greatly in a world where pretty much everything is sapient, glad people are still enjoying this one.
