No. Because I know my sister, I know what she would and wouldn't do. Somepony murdered her that night, and I'll find out who, or my name won't be Sweetie Belle any longer."

A year came to pass since the fires raged through the Carousel Boutique. A year went by during which everypony thought Rarity was gone. But in reality, she's never left the woods of Everfree. Living her life in the ancient castle, Rarity's time seems endless. Yet thoughts of the past continued to haunt her, together with her more beastly side.

In the meantime, the infamous Night Guard has been reestablished by princess Luna. Vamponies and wereponies are on the rise, causing trouble on the roads. The abominations of the night need to be stopped before they spread too much havoc. A job the thestrals can't do the job on their own, and Luna knows that. Meaning that volunteers can enlist.

Torn by grief, maddened by sadness, Sweetie Belle doesn't know what is right and wrong anymore. That cursed night consumed by fire continued to haunt her. Not even all the distractions she had given herself could empty her mind of it. Unsure of what to do next, it won't take too long before a rash decision comes forth. A decision that won't just drag Sweetie in the abyss, but the other Crusaders as well.

All three of them, having different ideals and ways of living, are about to face the unbelievable. Revelations to come, disasters to be avoided, changes to be made and words that must never be spoken. Yet a slight ripple in the pond, can change everything. Some, have been much closer to the truth than they might have thought originally. Nopony is safe as not only the night is at stake, but so are their lives...

Twilight was an abandoned filly with great magic that was never liked. One day, when passing Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, she unlocked her magic and hatched a dragon egg. Her parents were frightened, leaving her alone there. Princess Celestia was forced to take care of the filly. Ten years later, Twilight was sent to Ponyvile with her assistant Spike. No one ever seemed to want Twilight by their side. Everyone always abounded her: her parents, her mentor, and even Spike. She was captured in the ruined castle. She was captured in the dark, with Nightmare Moon haunting her with one odd question.

All stories start somewhere. All heroes must take their first steps before coming things of legend.

For Daring Do, that start is here. Together with her teacher, Doctor Caballeron, she sets out to discover the true wonders that exist in the world of archaeology, as well as the dangers.

James and his little sister Maiya currently live in their town's orphanage, fortunately, their town's policy towards sibling adoption requires the adopter to take in all of them. That way, the children are not forced to part.

On their way back to the orphanage from a bookstore, they end up stuck in an infinite loop and are unable to get out. A mysterious man appears before them, the cause, and offers a deal, he will find them a good person who wants to adopt them.

He left out the part about a new, dangerous world full of monsters and other evils, and the siblings turning into Metal Bat and his little sister Zenko.

Under the guiding hoof of their newly-crowned monarch, King Sombra, prosperity and love flourish in the lands of the Crystal Empire. With peace spanning half a century, most ponies have forgotten the true terror sleeping behind the forbidden boundaries of the northern wastelands.

However, rumblings of a powerful threat from the borderlands have alerted key ponies in the Empire. The tepid peace between the two nations begins to waver as the embittered changelings prepare for war.

With the kindling in place and the flint struck, the mettle of kings and countryponies are taken to their limits, testing just how far each one is willing to go for their homeland.

Foreword: Due to some confusion noted by several people, I will clarify here that this story takes place in the original time of the Crystal Empire (after Discord's original reign but before Nightmare Moon's first iteration.)
