One day out of the year, Macintosh Apple has to be extra careful. He can't sell apples in town, he can't run errands, he's loathe to even leave the farm. Is it spring? Are the mares of Ponyville marauding for the flesh of stallions, hopped up on hormones and dandelion tea? No. In fact, the reason is far more embarrassing. But it isn't poor Macintosh's fault, you see. The fault lies with a reformed lord of chaos, and his lack of understanding (or empathy) of the after-effects of his unique magical powers.

Innocent Spike plays a dating simulator...starring the ponies of Equestria. Though as he delves further into the game, his attitude towards it begins to take a dramatic turn. Because for Spike it will no longer be just a game. It will become his new way of life.

Princess Celestia is high and mighty in a lot of ways, motherly and mentor-like in more. But her proteges have almost always been unicorns, with one or two pegasi, and not one earth pony in all of her over 1000 years of life. When Applejack, staying true to her Element of Honesty, even with the Princess, bluntly states that Princess Celestia understands little of what it's like to be an earth pony, the princess realizes the flaw in her understanding of her subjects. Turning to a newly reformed old friend, Celestia begs to be an earth pony for a day. What happens, nopony could have guessed.

The trees of Sweet Apple Acres are tired of being kicked by the ponies. After apple-bucking season, the trees finally snap and begin to fight back against the ponies. The clouds help.
