Ahh, the magical land of Equestria. A place of peace and tranquility, ruled by Princess Celestia from the shining beacon of Canterlot. The ponies, of course, are the namesake of this place, and the primary sentient species of this place. They are a peaceful people who do stuff like have parties and sing all the time and a lot of other stuff, but something... otherworldly is coming, something from OUR world.

No, not humans. What if plants and animals from our world, extinct and alive alike, get sucked into the magical world of Equestria, so what happens then, you may ask.

Well, we know that an introduced species can cause an imbalance to the ecosystem. But, here's the catcher. While a normal ecosystem is self-sufficient and can rebuild itself naturally, Equestria is entirely dependent on the primary inhabitants to fix it themselves.

Unfortunately for them, Mother Nature's cooking their meals tonight.

So yeah, this is a reboot to a story called "Invasion of the Ecosystem". Dead story, dead author, dead everything. Kinda sad to see it go, it had a lot of potential in it. I was planning on making this story a collaboration effort with the help of this guy right here, but he/she has been off since May 30th. So, for the forseeable future, this is a one-man effort.

The story starts at the end of the episode "School Daze (Part Two)", and I'm planning on depicting the invading flora and fauna as accurately and precise as I can, but with some flair for the extinct club.

When the Cutie Map sends the mane six away on a dangerous mission to the Badlands, they enlist the help of three students from the School of Friendship to watch their pets.

Sparkler, a Canterlot unicorn at heart new to Ponyville, isn't too thrilled to look after a bunch of smelly animals, but it might be worth it if it means spending time with her classmate and secret crush, Stonecutter.

If only that annoying pegasus, Cloudburst, didn't have to tag along.

This story was one of the weirdest that I’ve ever written. It did not go as planned, but I suppose that’s to be expected when you put Pinkie in your story. Although, I’m not sure that you can actually call this a story. I just don’t know what went wrong.

Notice: Because of recent developments within FiM which tie directly to this story the original plot-line is no longer possible. As such, this is on hiatus until such a time that the current plot is fully defined.

The magic of friendship flows through every creature, big and small. They just need a little push in the right direction. Tired of living under their masters' neglect, insanity or just plain monotony, the pets all desire (in one way or another) to take life in a new, more exciting direction.

When a mysterious curse is laid on the Elements of Harmony, turning the bearers into pets and their pets into ponies, the misfits embark on a dangerous trek to break it. What was originally meant to be a quick trip around Equestria turns into a harrowing journey that expands from the comfy suburbs of Ponyville to the forgotten ruins of an underground kingdom to the biting tundra of the north, all filled with odd characters, laughter and an evil that has lasted for generations as the pets each embrace their inner hero. Because as we all know: the greatest of legends always start with the smallest beginnings.

A new family member of the Sparkle family has been hatched and Spike couldn't be more excited. However as time went on, he learned that taking care of a baby phoenix isn't as simple as any other bird and the responsibility tests his resolve to be a caretaker for Peewee.

Out in the farthest part of the Everfree forest, a part of the forest that even the Royal Sisters are not aware of lies a wood known only as 'The Unknown'. Where ponies and creatures live but are cut out from the rest of Equestria and no way of leaving for they have no choice for the fear of what's out there, a creature known only as 'The Beast'.

The pets of Twilight and her friends, Owlowiscious, Tank, Opal, Winona, Gummy, and Angel have unknowingly stumbled into the Unknown and now they try to find a way out and back home to their owners.

Diamond Tiara wakes up to discover that Miss Cheerilee has died. Does this discovery change Diamond Tiara for the better? Does it make her more contemplative? Or will she be the same old pony she always has been?

Alowicious "Owl" Nocturnus has always wanted to be a pilot in the Equestrian Mech Program. But after failing to qualify, he settles as a technician, helping to maintain the machines at their Canterlot base.
After he is accidentally run through a training simulation, however, the AI Twilight Sparkle selects him to be her pilot, sending him down a path he thought lost to him.

However, a dark force is rising in the nation of Griffonia. One which seeks vengeance for past wrongs. One which desires to see Canterlot, and all of Equestria, fall.

Despite still not having completed his training, Owl must lead a squad of fellow misfit pilots to take on Griffonia. But with a team consisting of a glory hog, a overcautious prodigy, an antisocial loner, a mute orphan, and a depressed alcoholic, the job might be harder than expected.

NOTE: The prologue consists of worldbuilding and a little bit of context, but otherwise has little to do with the main story. Characters within the prologue will not persist beyond it. Feel free to skip the prologue if you feel you can pick up the situation from context.
