Future rulers princess Celestia and Luna need another friend or pet other than mischievous little Discord. Celestia needs something like a daughter figure-like pet...a pet that may have an immortal love for you! Who is this pet? Why, a Phoenix of course! A bird that can be reborn with just and explosion of beautiful fire! What better friend than a friend that can live forever- or almost forever- just like you?!

Philomena's past was not all sunshine and roses though - just like young princess Celestia's.

Set before the Crystal Empire episodes, Equestria is in a state of chaos. When the Mane 6 find a small portal deep within the Everfree Forest, Celestia decides to go in herself, bringing her loyal phoenix Philomena with her. There, she is transported back to the past and the Crystal Empire, finding someone she'd only heard about in legends to help.

Shadow is Luna's best friend. They have known each other for a long time. Shadow protects Luna and develops feeling for her. When Luna and Shadow get there cutie marks they know that they are meant for each other. To quote Shadow "this mark means I will protect you forever Luna".

Celestia spends another night in her room, thinking about the past, and making a path for her future.

A/N: This was originally part of a large tale I was calling “Lunae Tragoedia”, then canon destroyed my fanon, so the story was no longer plausible, which I’m fine with, but it did completely halt production on this story. I chose to edit this chapter as it was easily capable of being a different story completely.

I’m an amateur writer and don’t take myself too seriously, this is likely riddled with small grammatical errors, although I tried to hammer out any continuity errors.

As this stands, this is a one-shot.

A few years have passed since Celestia had to banish her sister. She and Philomena shortly moved to Canterlot since The Castle of the Two Sisters had been mostly destroyed. Philomena decided to stay with Celestia and not finish her search for her father because Celestia would need her now more than ever. But she wishes she left with her family. She wanted to find out what happened to her father.
This one MIGHT be a little (whats the word...) 'darker?' than the others, but more like mistery I think...

The Leaders of Discordian Rule, or LDR, has risen. The ruthless group's goal is to overthrow the princesses and rule Equestria in the name of their idol, Discord. Their first goal: kidnap the Element of Magic, and any other Element they can get their hooves on.

Meanwhile, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and a few other mares in Ponyville, are hiding a secret. A BIG secret. When LDR invades Ponyville, the secret is revealed. With their knowledge, they are the only ones (and a few more friends) who can stop complete chaos. But can they?

That's not the only secret . . .
