On a mission to document all the information in the world by Princess Platinum from a newly formed kingdom of Equestria, Star Swirl the Bearded and his students are sent off into the wilderness. Along the way, they come across an unstable, but highly charged cloud filled with magic. Lightning from the cloud strikes them, and they wake up in an entirely new world and kingdom. They land in the Kingdom of Britain, whose ruler, Queen Elizabeth Tudor, is facing an incoming invasion by the Spanish Armada.

A unique creature appears out of the darkness, only wishing to share the embrace that is love. Motherly instincts guiding, she finds a lonely alicorn in need of magic in her life.

Though even during the best of intentions, we may still end up...

After Celestia and Luna defeated Sombra in the Crystal Empire their relationship took a turn for the worse. Celestia had suddenly become cold and distant from her sister. As Luna sought out a solution to the issue she stumbled upon a disturbing prophecy. A destined confrontation between the two is unavoidable. Inspired by Prince Whateverer's song "Ghost in the Sun".

It all started when Queen Chrysalis woke up feeling… lucky. At first, she assumed it's just because she's awesome, but strange occurrences start to happen after Chrysalis stumbles across a small, green bowler hat.

"In an effort to recover the past so that the events of this century not be repeated by our descendants, I Twilight Sparkle, have taken it upon myself to restore and record the ancient teachings of one Starswirl the Bearded.

"Within these Dicentis Lapia, or Speaker Stones for the modern pony, is the final recordings of this great and wise stallion. May his words guide us in understanding, and teach us lessons that have been lost to our Foremothers.

"Yes, Starlight, I do believe it should be done this way.

"No, I don't believe it is too grandiose....There are plenty of lessons we can learn from the past!

"Why would you even say that?! He is not some DUSTY MUMMY!

Starswirl the Bearded has traveled all over Equestria since his return from limbo, and has also served as a teacher for many magically gifted students. But now the old wizard decides he needs a break, and so he travels to the Crystal Empire in the hopes of resting.

However, Mistmane soon calls upon her fellow pillar to ask for his help with a most difficult task: Controlling and containing the magical abilities of the young princess Flurry Heart. Not one to ignore a request from an ally, Starswirl accepts.

Starswil is fairly confident in his knowledges of alicorns due to his past experiences, he doesn't expect too much trouble. But he and Mistmane will soon be surprised by how powerful one little foal can be on her own.

Reports of increased solar intensity come in from across Equestria and Celestia's power seems to be in a mysterious state of flux. Furthermore, there have been sightings of a new alicorn, covered in fire and bringing with it a wave of wanton destruction. How are these events connected and what is the secret of Equestria's past that now threatens to unravel the realm?

If I’d known into what abomination Starlight would turn my old spell, I would have buried my research a millennium ago. Now I shudder to think, where on Equestria does that portal of hers lead?
